Surrender Option After Time Period

The option to surrender should not be limited to the Survivor's health state alone. There are multiple reasons why a game may need to be forfeited.

Recently, I was in a game where the killer became stuck due to a bug during a pickup animation. They refused to disconnect, which would have ended the match for everyone. As a result, each survivor had to disconnect, receiving a penalty, only for the killer to eventually disconnect anyway.

I believe adding a vote to surrender option after say 10 minutes, would be a great solution.
This would prevent teams from immediately giving up just because they dislike the map or killer. With the introduction of the other QOL initiatives such as Go Next Prevention and Hiding/Body Blocking Prevention, I believe this change would not impact the game negatively.

You say everyone disconnected when they could have just done gens and left?

As for your ideas, A vote to surrender after 10 minutes is actually not a bad idea, because by that point either side should be close to winning, well thought out. However, how would the game be able to tell if the killer is glitched in a pickup animation or something similar? Maybe before the 10 minute mark, the killer can initiate a give up/end match where 3 survivors have to agree to end it. So this cannot be used to avoid the dc penalty, due to the majority of survivors having to agree. However, I can see a situation where a SWF might find it funny to deny a glitched/stuck killer from conceding, so the best idea I have for that issue is make it reportable 🙁

I forgot to mention, the game didn't allow interactions (such as gens) after the bug happened.

This is obviously just one rare edge case example, but there can be a number of scenarios that could lead to either side wishing to surrender.

Games with "competitive" ranked modes allow surrendering (typically after so many rounds or time period). I appreciate we need to prevent griefing and abuse of the feature, but lets say you were to say queue up against a hacker, It would be amazing if you could immediately end the game.

It was just Today, I was watching a streamer (a fog whisperer in fact) and they queued against a hacker twice. In this example, they decided to DC (x2) and incur a 5 minute penalty.

Allow us to surrender, but introduce some sort of a cap in a certain time period, after which you can start reduce rank or some other disincentive.

I'd rather no voting to surrender, there's always that 1 guy. When the the condition is met just let em go.
