Houndmaster? More like Jankmaster

I've heard that Houndmaster is incredibly janky to play as, but speaking solely from a survivor perspective the dog feels awful to counter. The hitbox hits you when you are well outside of the dog's path, the collision has the dog bouncing off objects and redirecting in erratic and unpredictable ways, sometimes I dodge the dog and then it's bouncing off objects from behind or sliding along objects and ends up grabbing me anyways. Not to mention the speed boost when in search mode feels not only excessively OP but looks completely ridiculous when the lady is flying across the map at an blistering pace while her stride resembles something more like taking a leisurely stroll. Oh and the cooldown for sending the dog out seems too short, but I suppose that's something I'm not unused to. This killer just feels so bad to play against. Not saying she's the most OP, but potentially one of the most annoying

    HM imo seems very balanced, very fun to play as, as well. Before claiming a killer is janky I would actually play her first, but I understand your survivor POV, can seem kinda weird, but the dog bouncing off of stuff is intentional, but it shouldn't be a crazy bounce or anything, it's like Wesker's dash sorta. I believe HM is a great killer for both sides.

    Only difference with Wesker is there is clear and satisfying counterplay where I know when I've successfully evaded his power and am not getting surprised grabbed from behind after he's gone flying past me. Even when colliding with objects his trajectory always follows a linear and predictable path in one direction. IMO he's the most perfectly designed killer in the game. The dog is just way more unpredictable and seems to hit way outside of where you assume it's hitbox should be. It's hard to explain I should have saved some footage for examples. Not unbalanced just annoying because on top of the litany of issues in DbD I have to deal with getting robbed on hits I feel should have been avoided because of jank
