Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

What information is needed to report a cheater on BHVR support?

I played a game in 2v8 as a survivor where the Nurse player was blatantly cheating. I'm on PS5, but recorded the gameplay, so I want to submit the gameplay recording.

I've already submitted the in-game report of cheating, but am not sure how to fill out all of the information on the support request.

What should I fill out for Offender ID? Is that just the user-name of the cheating player?

Also, should I upload the screenshot of the final results screen or just the gameplay footage?

Thank you very much for the help!

Edit: Adjusted title and wanted to add:

The cheater was on a different platform, because the crossplay icon was next to their name.

Yes the offender ID is the username of the player. Let them know that you were playing on a different platform to them though.

You will need to upload the game footage as they won't do anything without that evidence. The end game screen probably isn't needed, but there's no harm in uploading it either so why not. If you've got it may as well just upload it as well.

Im on pc steam, usually when i figure the killer is hacking i leave the report about what kind of hacks they might be using. Im not sure if it jist takes the 1 report or multiple rounds of players reporting them repeatedly. But i can say the report system alone has banned quite a few hackers by itself. It just takes a while for you to get the feedback that anything was done to the point where u might not even remember who you reported lol

Thanks, I'll remember that for the future! The bot actually asked for the username when reporting, instead of ID, so I submitted my report through the bot.

It's good to know I can use the username for the standard report as well.

Just wanted to pop in and thank you for taking your time to not only submit a report through the bot, but to also confirm you've included the most helpful bits of information - it's super appreciated!!

Of course! Thank you for popping in!

If I could give some feedback about reporting, the list of file types the bot accepts for gameplay footage does not include .webm files, which was the default file type for the video footage I took from my Playstation 5. I had to convert the .webm file to a .mov file before submitting. While I don't know what file type other consoles use when they create video footage, making the bot capable of taking .webm files would definitely make it easier for PS5 players to submit gameplay footage.

Thanks again for everything you and the dev team do to make this a great game!
