Is pressing "link account" here supposed to do anything?

I have my Steam account linked directly on the BHVR website. However in the actual game it says 'link account'. Does this mean I have to link my BHVR account to the game directly here as well? Or is this not something I need to be concerned about? When I press it, it opens the BHVR website on Steam but it won't let me log in. What do I do?
