Brightness too high

I play DBD on my PC via Steam and for the past few days when I start the game and it goes into full screen mode the brightness is automatically increased to 100% until I exit full screen mode.
I've tested other games and the problem doesn't exist. I've updated the video software, changed the computer's brightness settings so nothing changes automatically and the problem still persists.
Has anyone experienced this problem and/or knows how to help me?From what I can tell, I use Windows 11.
