Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Adding Nvidia Reflex, AMD Anti-Lag 2, and Intel XeLL (As well as DLSS4/FSR4)

Having consistent, low latency input is important to being consistent when it comes to getting great skill checks. With DBD at the moment, if your FPS drops below the max FPS due to GPU usage, which is currently 120fps, the latency of the game is significantly increased. One way to get around this is to limit the FPS to something lower, such as 90, but the ideal solution would be to implement Reflex, Anti-Lag 2 and XeLL, in order to have consistently responsive controls.

Nvidia offers Reflex as a simple plugin for Unreal Engine, and as DBD runs on Unreal Engine 5, it shouldn't be too difficult for this feature to be implemented.

Nvidia also offers DLSS as a plugin for UE games. As it currently stands, DBD only offers FSR 1.0 and XeSS. Supporting XeSS means adding DLSS and FSR should be trivial, and they offer much better image quality compared to the blurry TAA used by the game currently. Please look into implementing all 3 major upscalers and latency reduction technologies into the game.
