Ghoul Kaneki Ken Power Suggestion
Hi Dear staff and readers, thanks for your patient to read my suggestions.
Firstly, the existed ability “Kagune jump” is a perfect idea. I will add some new skills and how survivers can counter the killer
1: Reform ability [Kagune jump]:
based on the test, the difference between the 1st hit and the 2nd hit is too obvious——1st hit is 100% guaranteed but 2nd hit can not use any perk.
So to change it, Kaneki can’t hurt survivors “directly” using [Kagune] during the “1st hit”. To compensate, Kaneki can deem survivors as an [attachable point] in which the [Kagune] can attach and jump to.
“!!! Survivors can [crouch] to avoid the [Kagune] catch, so that Kaneki can’t shorten the distance in an instant” But Kaneki can still strategically to the ground to jump and shorten the distance.
2: New skills—— [Snap & Bite]:
During the [Kagune jump], Kaneki can start “A bite” at any moment during the jumping, in a range of 1/6 front of a circle.
3: New defect——[Coasting distance]
After each jump, Kaneki has to keep coasting for 0.75 s until stop. During the coasting, Kaneki will go over the jumping point, with a reverse position and all libs catching the ground, and a view lock.
Value change: Decrease cooldown time for [Kagune jump] when the “chase” is triggered.
4: New skill——[skip or pass]:
Adding “W, S, D” as direction control when jumping using [Kagune jump]. “S, D” for bush pass the obstacles, and “W” for skip from the top of the obstacles. For Example, inmagine how fantastic if Kaneki just jump over the LT onto your face. (But he’ll also lose view during such high jump and can’t hit survivor precisely). This is what most players have complained about in China.
Conclusion for 1, 2, 3 & 4: The unstoppable chasing process gives the most nervous and fantastic experience but also gives many uncertainty. “1. killer always jumping with short cooldown time; 2. Survivor Shocked in LT; But!!!: 1. Killer Lose view during jump; 2. Survivor Crouch to avoid catching 3. Killer is hard to Bite precisely during each jump due to coasting”
This gives a large variety of ways to attack, but also makes it harder to attack successfully. Survivors can also counter the killer instead of having to give the 1st hit so easily.
STEP 2: 【Kakuja state】—— the state when survivor is hurt by the [Kagune jump]
- Reform ability——【Kagune jump】: When killer enters [Kakuja state], the killer changes to [crawl] on all four libs. When player uses the Jump power, the killer will charge up in place using “Kagune”, as if in the anime, for 1 s in most. Like “The nurse”, the longer killer charges, the farther he will jump.
2. Coexists effects [climbing] : the killer has to choose a high point——tree, house, wall of LT——during the first charging up and then climb onto it. With 1 second in most to stay on the climbing point, players can jump again—during any moment of the 1 second—back to the ground with a horizontal swipe attack.
There’s a total of 0.75 s suspension time for the horizontal swipe. That is player can choose any moment during the 0.75 s to attack in the air right above the falling point.
But!!!, survivor can crouch to avoid this swipe🤩. To prevent survivor keeping crouching the whole 0.75s to 100% avoid the swipe, the killer can hit normally again with a 0.5 recovery time after the swipe. This hit can only release in place without moving. (Trust me! Using crouch to avoid attack will be so attracting😍😍.)
Conclusion: This gives Kaneki similar ability to obtain the 2nd hit as the 1st hit in a more CRAZY and funny way!!! But it’s not invincible: survivor can avoid the swipe and run to increase the distance during the 0.5 recovery time. Also, survivor will fail if they crouch too long or stand up too early. It’s very strategically engaging right?
Later adjustment: if the performance finally turns out to be too strong, the power can be balanced just by increasing the recovery time, the hitting range, the coasting time, and the cooldown time.

I believe for most people like me, who’s the big fan of “Tokyo Ghoul”, the characteristics, feelings, and atmosphere given by Kaneki are the most Important.
