Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Buying old rifts (concept)

i think rather than reselling old rift cosmetics in these massive bundles, you should instead resell the rifts themselves, at a higher price if you deem so necessary. You could also, once unlocked, allow the associated time to give rift fragments for that rift specifically, given that they’ve been reduced to bloodpoint & charm challenges now. I think this would be very profitable and also decrease the amount of fomo in the game, because people buy passes in games way more that full-price outfits. I think it could be similar to GSG’s Deep Rock Galactic, only rather the rifts being available in the compendium alongside their associated tome. I bring this up mainly because the game already costs $30 dollars and has far more money in DLC characters, and the reintroduction of skins that were formerly a measly $5 in total before in full price feels extremely punishing to new players or players like myself who took a long break from the game and missed out on some amazing cosmetics. If you do integrate this system, it would be cool if premium (or all, if you’re generous) pass owners were able to keep their progress on a rift after it ended and continue it later (akin to Marvel Rivals). If you’re worried about players getting angry over reselling so many cosmetics at the same/slightly higher price, you could simply make it so that the Deep Rift is still locked behind the original version of the tome, allowing the players who earned them the hard way a way to show off their grinding. Overall I don’t see too many people mad at this, and I believe it would be very profitable and people would have far more reason to keep playing after finishing the current rift. After all, what’s wrong with simply adding more progression?

Most Rift Items come back to the shop but since you have to buy all outfits, it can be expensive. I think the idea of making old Rift Passes purchasable is actually not a bad idea, you can get a lot of cosmetics cheaper and it encourages people to play the game (and potentially spend more money on the game).

From BHVR's perspective, players who do buy and use Rift outfits are pretty much advertising their cosmetic store and Rift Pass system anyways, and creates a subtle push for players to maybe buy that cosmetic that they saw ingame, so this can be benefit for BHVR.

I wouldn't have the Graffiti Legion skin (the old green one, not Never Stop Slashing) if they weren't rerunning Rifts right now. Granted, it was the ONLY item I wanted in all of Rift 2, so I basically spent $40 for just a recolor, but honestly I don't care. I waited 5 years for that skin. I would've gladly spent even more to finally have it. I'm thankful to BHVR for rerunning Rifts.

Veteran players also aren't scammed either since they've already been playing with the rift content for a very long time, plus the fact that everything that used to be acquired for free has to be purchased in the bundle, so it's fair for everyone imo.
