Memory Shards and Archives Portal not making any sound

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE:
When doing the Core Memory challenge, the acts of picking up the Memory Shard(s) and synchronising them with the Portal are supposed to play sound effects, but they are completely silent.
PLATFORM:
PC, Steam, Windows 11
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:
Have the Core Memory challenge equipped and complete it as normal.
