A hit when vaulting should not down a survivor
Killers ability to down a survivor when vaulting while injured makes vaulting as a means of escape useless. The point of vaults as I see it are to give you distance from a killer. This is impossible if they can hit you while vaulting (and in many cases after you vault and you are hit past the vault.) I suggest changing that hit from taking you to dying state to instead deep cut the survivor. This will require a mend which works in favor of the killer since the survivor needs to stop and mend eventually and it benefits the survivor as it allows an opportunity to distance them from the killer and extend the chase and allow them to find a way to escape. Then we are back on track to the spirit of the game of cat and mouse.

You may be missing the point of them. The point is to have a obstacle the killer has to go throughto get to you and buy you time. However, you have to use these effectively. You're supposed to be getting to them and planning ahead accordingly to get to them safely. If you fail at this, then you're at risk of getting injured, or if already injured, downed.
If you're injured at a vault, then you were out of position or outplayed for that particular encounter.
With your suggestions, survivors would be immune to ever getting downed because vaults give you God mode. Heck, most chases would cease to exist as survivors would stop the moment they get to a god mode vault. Safer than running out in the open. Even with deep wounds taking affect, that final hit going into deep wounds gives you a large amount of distance - plenty of time to get to another loop.

There's perks that activate on vaulting that already can make the Killer whiff; I'm sorry but vaults should not be a get out of hit/down free card. Tiles are not meant to be safe havens, ever, they're meant to be structures you show skill around. Some vaults are quite hard for some Killers to handle, we do not also need to make them hard for the Killer to hit around those vaults.
I understand your frustration but this is a change that half the roster can ignore and the other half is hard nerfed by. It's an awful suggestion. Just use Finesse or Lithe and learn how to properly run tiles.0 -
Vaults have problem. Overall are okay, but sometimes killer can hit through them with extended range, probably because of lag or somethig. I got few times hits i shouldnt get i saw on my monitor that surv is already behind the window and yet they got hit. Things like this should not happened. I thing that deep wound instead of a down would be good counter for such thing (hitting surv with deep would should still down them, its like additional health state, but maybe only if during the fast vault), unless bhvr can fix vault hits.

I guess you have never experienced the frustration when you vault with lithe and still get hit even though you are on the other side of the vault.
Why must you just two separate perks together just to give you a chance to mitigate this issue?

I know how the hit detection works and know it's normal for Killers to be able to hit you through a window due to how hit validation works, so no, I haven't ever experienced this in an unfair way, but know what I have experienced that is way more frustrating and actually is unfair?
Pallets hitting you when you are nowhere near them, and pallets not dropping properly when you need them to due to lag or server issues. There are no perks to prevent this.
And speaking of perks, I could ask the same of something else: why should Killers need several separate perks just to give them a chance to mitigate the problem of Survivors being able to stack perks, items, and themselves on generators to do multiples of them in up to 40 seconds at a time, often causing more than one generator to pop in the first chase of the game?Sounds kinda silly put that way, right?
