Headphone recommendations.

I bought a new set of headphones a few months back, but compared to my old ones, I really struggle to hear injured survivors, I watch YouTube videos of killers chasing injuries survivors and they are so loud, you can pinpoint their exact location by sound, but with my new headphones I can no longer do this, does anyone have any suggestions for a good set of headphones that can help me hear quiet sounds like footsteps and injured sounds ?

Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro
There are a lot of Studio Headphones which can be used. They usually have a more pure sound. I like that more but that is very subjective.
I use a super cheap Panasonic RP HT41 which sounds incredible good for such a light weight small Headphone. Sadly they are not produced anymore.

I've also had a good experience with this headset. Had one at work and one at home. Solid and reliable for the price. My only annoyance is the the mic arm will eventually reuse to stay up, which can be annoying if you're using a standalone mic.
It's hard to go wrong with Sennheiser, but there is definitely a cost associated there. But if someone is really wanting to hear the crows fart from 30 meters, then the cost might be worth it.
I've also used SteelSeries Arctis sets that were pretty good.
But I also have a cheap wired Razer Kaira I bought for couch DBD-ing on my PS5, and I feel like they sound better than more expensive sets.
Disclaimer: I only have one good ear and set the sound to mono output whenever I can so the surround features are lost on me

I had the Steelseries Arctic Nova 7 and if you asked me 2 months ago Id recommend them, I had them basically since they came out and overall they sound really good and are very comfy. How ever Im hesitant on even trying them again since I ran into an issue relating to the drivers a few months ago (was only with it, I used another headset and I had no issues) and then all of a sudden, it didnt work anymore. Tried reinstalling the drivers, tried factory resetting it, tried installing and reinstalling the Steelseries software, nothing worked.
Thing is Im not sure if it was the headsets fault or if it was just windows since once I got the Void Elite, they werent working either until I got a fresh install of windows. The 1 thing they had in common was they were both wireless, while the other pair I was using (another Corsair Void Elite but wired, and they worked just fine)
Im hesitant on trying them again in case they were the cause of the issue. A damn shame because theyre a really nice pair of headphones.

I can hear footsteps and injured survs with a $20 pair of headphones from Wal-mart/Amazon. Corsair, Razor, TBs will do just fine and more, or even Audio-Technica would be more practical investments for your problem. I don't think you need to break the bank to get some of these headphones being suggested like Sennheiser. You don't need Sennheiser If you're using these just for DBD. That's like using some primo Grade A Wagyu just to make Hamburger Helper or Sloppy Joes. Unless you're a mixing engineer, making a living from podcasting/streaming, radio, or something that would justify the cost of what you're paying just for the Sennheiser name, You'd be doing them a grave injustice and they would be criminally underused.

I use wired Corsair hs55's because they're the best budget option I've personally used to date. (+ they match my keyboard and mousepad lol)
Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pros are what I'd prefer to use to be honest but I'd try to find them on sale because studio headphones for gaming at full price isn't worth it imo… Unless you got dosh like that I suppose.
