Unable to finish someone else's Invocation after they die (even with same Invocation perk equipped)

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: Rebecca (the one that died in the video below) started Invocation: Weaving Spiders and I joined but, but we got interupted. Fastforward a couple of minutes later she died and I tried to finish Weaving Spiders she started and wanted to do the other one after, but I couldn't.

PLATFORM: PC

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: Have both survivors the same Invocation perk equipped, but the one thats starts it has to die. Unable for the other surviovr (me) to finish said Invocation.

    heres another one, the moment you step away from that salt circle, and someone else completes it without you being there, you cant do the second one either
