New player feedback: Player base and Maps (Accessibility)
So I am relativly new to this game and after 100 hours of playtime here are the two things which annoys me the most:
Player base
In short: I am diappointed. Not about the game itself because it's quite fun, but about the generel player base. The standard player is summarized:
- toxic
- unfriendly
- and above all: arrogant
It really is an exception that you play against or with pleasant humans.
I am surprised that there is no mechanism to teach players how to treat others better. There is neither punishment for bad behavior nor reward for good behavior.
I would like to enjoy the game after a long day at work. But after just a few matches I just lose the desire and I'm annoyed that I started the game at all. This whole situation makes me think five times before I spend any more money on it. In the end, it just makes me unhappy.
Maps
There are some maps where you can't see anything at all if you're red-green colorblind. "Toba Landing", for example, is the absolute endboss: it's impossible to see scratch marks or traces of blood. Absolutely everything on this map looks the same.
There are accessibility settings, but they don't help at all on some maps. In addition to “Toba Landing”, it is also very difficult to recognize anything on “Coldwind Farm” or “Eyrie of Crows”. I would like to see a completely different color scheme for these maps. If I play Killer on these maps, the match is automatically lost for me.

Colorblind settings (and accessibility in general) have never been BHVR's strong suit.
As to the playerbase, yeah.

Yeah… arrogant sums it up really well. Nice folks do absolutely exist but they're such a rarity that it really feels like they don't.
As for accessibility, BHVR is always multiple years behind on basic accessibility tools. I hope they use this QoL focused year to give it any amount of thought, because it's ridiculous that even basic colorblind settings aren't functional in DBD.
