Can we get a new perk to help stealth?

For stealthy survivors,
Besides Urban Evasion, Iron Will, Quick and Quiet, Calm Spirit, Dance With Me, and most perks that read the killers aura, which are just helpful in general.

2 of which I personally use more over the others.

I would love to see a perk that decreases the sound your footsteps make by 50%/75%/100% or make it so you can actually stealth around grass.
How many times have you all been sneaking just fine, killer is around. You are stealthing, he doesn't see you, nor hear your breathing because of the nearby generator or fireplace. He comes towards your tree or whatever you are hiding around to search the general area, you try to sneak to the other side, because if you stay still they will see you, so you move so that you don't get found, but then the worst thing happens!

It's the absolute worst! Stealth play ruined because CRUNCH CRUNCH HERE I AM!

And stealth play in the game needs to be better

From my perspective the game is focusing more and more into chasing and stealth gets less and less important. And tbh? I like that. Stealth is FOR ME boring and was only interesting in my first 10 hours of the game. After that I was actively searching for killer interaction. Same with Killer for me. Nothing more boring to search survivors who are stealth masters.

Yes. When a sound Robbies us of stealth, it's a Rotten thing.

    Agreed.

A perk like Lightweight reducing footstep sounds looks good to me. Maybe another stealth perk that removes the blood trail/lessons it/or makes it harder to see would be nice as well.

I love to stealth and to leave the game without having  been seen. Some games do require you to face chases (which I’m not really good at) but you can also ninja it thru. With the release of legion, stealth players have been affected a lot and there’s no real counter to it. They pretty much ruined a playstyle.

And I agree that lightweight should reduce footstep sounds. At least from a survivor perspective, steps are so much louder now after the patch than they used to be...

Oh yes, a perk that reduces footsteps sounds (and maybe even fall sounds) would be awesome.

Read the title and thought Killers do need help with stealth play. Monitor and abuse is great but has little effect on large TR killers.

I want items... screw perks!... I want an item that helps stealth.... not cosmetics... items... it's been over 2 years and not a single new item has been added

That's fine, every taste is different. Can I ask you how many hours you played survivor?

But that is situational, and only works 3 times. If it's on the end of a Nurse's call it just gets burned through.
And lockers now. But that is for aura reading dodges.

I am talking about being sneaky :v

What kind of item would you recommend for stealth?

While that sounds amazing it would totally break some maps like  where scratch marks are virtually gone along with flashlights which if you don't have lightborn will be a free escape if you're sounds were entirely silent.

I am fine with this....just make sure the survivor's repair/heal speed is reduced when stealth is increased.

I have a solid pair of headphones and I cant hear footsteps 99% of the time. I can hear breathing and 99% of the time that crunch I hear is me moving through the grass. Perhaps with only over 300+ hours I still have not mastered the acquisition of light sounds within the game.

My two cents without Hex Ruin to slow the game down, the desire to make it even harder to locate a stealthy player, taking even more precious time from the killer would make things more sweaty for killers.

Not that all survivors would take advantage of extra stealth, less sounds to clue the killer into your location, but indeed it only makes an already quick game with objective minded survivors to get things done with less concern for being found.

Not saying your desire for this is wrong. Perhaps the effect it would have on killers is less than I would think, but its only my opinion.

    May I introduce you to

    Pebble Time?

On topic: The perk you're looking for is called Lightweight.
    Also Urban Evasion. Also Walking.

And Predator should increase footstep sounds.

Doing anything to scratch marks is dumb. Making them larger or smaller has positive and negative impacts for both sides. These perks almost have the opposite effect of what they intend sometimes. Scratch marks should just be at one setting and never change.

That's actually a really good idea too

Oh, yes, I suggested Lightweight should make footsteps silent: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/40837/footsteps-sounds-and-lightweight

About the stealth playstyle, which I love, I wrote a long list of interesting buffs: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/31203/detection-and-stealth-perks-buff
