Get Ready! This game is about to get even more toxic
The “Quality of Life” phase 1 changes are around the corner and guess what? The worst of the worst players have just been incentivized to come out in full force.
But how? Well, for one thing you’re now forced to play every game with every person no matter what. You don’t know what you’re getting until the match actually starts and if you get griefers or cheaters, you’re just stuck with it and the thing about it is they know this because they’ve been the ones screaming for it. “My fun is ruined if someone leaves.”
The ONLY type of person who REQUIRES other people to have their fun is the one who gets off on being a dick. So congratulations BHVR you’ve made it clear that you only care about the fun of the loudest complaining individuals. So now we can’t leave games that are not enjoyable because of griefing or blatant cheating but it’s OK. We get to stick it out so that those clowns get to have their fun and the rest of us do not.
I truly wonder how much actual thought goes into the things that you do because you should’ve been asking yourself why people are leaving games rather than trying to treat a symptom.
The other one that is absolutely ridiculous is map offerings. Sacrificial ward already exists, and the only change that actually needed to happen was to stop making them stackable. Instead, you’ve decided to just make them worthless. Why are all the other offerings not only granting a 20% chance? Literally all you needed to do was make them not be stackable so that teams can’t force someone into a map for clearly advantageous reasons.
Ah but you just wouldn’t be you if you didn’t listen to the loudest complainers.
Then you list the surrender option, and you list one for survivor and one for killer. But I’m kind of confused as to why the killer would need a surrender option as according to your description of how you’re solving the symptom of go next by the way, not the issue, but just Forcing people to stay in games that are unenjoyable, by that logic there should never be a situation where there’s only bots for the killer so why would you implement that when by your own notes nobody should ever be leaving matches ever again?
At this point, the whole thing is just a joke. I guess the only thing to do now is just sit back and watch and laugh as it all blows up in your face.

Interesting opinion, but I have time entirely disagree. Map offerings are awful because all you ever see at levels beyond lower mmr brackets is just the same offerings over and over and over and over and over. Dbd has essentially turned into a 2 map game. Nerfing those is a great move, though I would have just converted them to map BAN offerings and it'd only select one killer ban and one survivor ban (not 4 survivor bans).
As for the DC penalties for go next another amazing change. Anyone who "goes next" intentionally is trolling all of their teammates forcing them into extremely unfavorable odds which makes their gaming experience horrendous. This is a great change to keep matches played out as intended.
As for surrender, I mostly agree with the changes, as some players do indeed troll by dragging out a match that would naturally end already. What I don't agree with is how no gens getting done within a certain time period should be a killer surrender considering it's the survivors that are failing to do their objective. All this does is encourage survivors to just hide all game and refuse to touch gens to try to get the killer to surrender. BHVR didn't think this one through, at all. If it was the other day around, then sure the survivors could hide all gsme but then lose anyway with their surrender giving the killer their win.

I agree with OP here. When I play survivor, I play solo q. I am about 50/50 survivor/killer. Used to be 90% survivor because killer bores me but solo q has just gotten too miserable. Not long ago I played this game every day. At this point, I play this game maybe 3 hours a week.
Most survivor matches, my teammates do not touch gens like they are allergic but will open chests or cleanse all 5 dull totems on the map, unhooks right in front of the killer causing instant tunnel, or are just hiding in a locker or crouching edge map. Those are the games I want to go next on. People assume every survivor goes next because its a map/killer/perk they dont want to go against but that is not always the case. Now the people that go next for any reason are just going to have to pretend to try but honestly, with this being an automatic system to catch people going next, there are going to be so many DC penalties applied incorrectly and not applied when they should be. We know there is no way BHVR is going to get this system right.
And yes, map offerings getting the change theyre getting is ridiculous. Sac wards exist, I ALWAYS run them no matter which side I am playing. It is so rare to see 4 of the same map offering but on the very off-chance that happens, you can still force close before load in with no penalty and you just lose the same stuff you would have lost loading in anyway. The people that concerned about map offerings already have protection against them especially since sac wards were just chance to a common offering.
As for the surrender options, the first few days after that was announced, I was in not one but TWO different killer main streams where the streamer made a comment along the lines of "I can't wait for the surrender option so I dont have to look for my slugs after I 4 man slug and end the games quicker." One is a blight main, one is a billy main and both were intentionally 4-man slugging. The surrender option is going to benefit killers more than survivors, like most of these changes are.
OP is correct, these "QoL" changes are bandaids to the real problems of this game. They need to fix MMR, look at balance instead of releasing killers that are very strong right off the bat (aka Kaneki being ranked A-tier maybe even S-tier depending on who you ask), and make this game fun to play because right now it's not.

I am looking forward for both changes simply because I am not giving up and I don't use map offerings.
While I am annoyed by both…2 -
To be fair, you're not being forced to play any match you don't want to. You're still going to be able to leave matches early after this "go next prevention" system goes live.
It's just that if you do, you won't have ways of avoiding the penalty. Seems fair enough to me, you had good cause to leave so you'll take the thirty second penalty and move on. It'll only affect you negatively if you're the kind of person to leave a lot of matches in a play session.

Facts. At high level, they only thing you see is map offerings to Badham Preschool, The Game, RPD, Garden Of Joy and Macmillan. Map bans has been suggested by the majority of the community and i wonder why they didn't get that system. Like the map offerings is just there to grant an unfair advantage.
