Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

[SURVIVOR CONCEPT] Max Ivy – The Lost Prodigy

Appearance:
Max Ivy is a petite, delicate young man with an air of quiet refinement. His sharp blue eyes glimmer behind stylish, thin-framed glasses, a stark contrast to the freckles scattered across his nose and cheeks. His short, dark hair is always impeccably neat, a reflection of his upbringing. His slender, hourglass-like figure gives him an almost ethereal presence, his refined features enhanced by his polished attire. Max wears fitted waist jeans, pristine white socks, and black loafers, his look completed by a white dress shirt with a perfect collar and a blue gilet layered over it. Every detail is carefully arranged—an image of perfection, just as he was raised to be.

Backstory:
Perfection was the Ivy family’s legacy, and Max was their crowning achievement. His father, Viktor Ivy, a ruthless businessman, saw his son as a project—something to be sculpted, polished, and put on display. His mother, Grace Ivy, was kinder, though she still held him to impossible standards. From the moment Max could walk, he was trained to excel. His name adorned trophies, his brilliance earned medals, and his discipline won applause. His life was rigid, controlled, and exhausting. But no matter how hard he tried, it was never enough for his father. Only his mother made the weight of it all bearable. She would hold his face in her hands and whisper, “You are already perfect, my love.” And for a fleeting moment, he believed her. Then came the night of the gala. It was meant to be another celebration of Max’s success—another evening of stiff smiles and rehearsed pleasantries. But something inside him cracked. The suffocating expectations, the endless cycle of perfection—it was too much. He stepped away, retreating into the grand estate’s garden, longing for a moment of solitude. That’s when he saw it. The fog rolled in unnaturally fast, curling around the hedges and swallowing the distant glow of the mansion’s lights. A chill ran down his spine. He turned back toward the estate—only to find it gone. The house, the gala, his parents—everything had vanished. His breath hitched. His voice barely rose above a whisper. “Mother? Where are you?” The fog didn’t answer. It only pulled him in deeper. And just like that, Max Ivy was gone.

Perks:

  1. Poise Under Pressure
    “Perfection isn’t achieved without sacrifice.”
When within 12 meters of the Killer, you gain the following effects:
    • Skill Check success zones are increased by 10/15/20%.
    • You can move at full speed while performing Skill Check actions (such as healing or repairing).
    • If you hit a Great Skill Check, the Killer’s aura is revealed for 3 seconds, and the generator or healing action gains a 5% progression boost. This effect ends if you stop performing an action for more than 5 seconds.
  2. Relentless Pursuit (Overpowered Perk)
“Perseverance is my strength, and my body is its tool.”
While injured, skill checks for healing, repairing, and sabotage appear 25/30/35% more frequently, but all skill check failure penalties are reduced by 50%.
Each time you hit a Great Skill Check, gain a 3% action speed bonus for 8 seconds (stacks up to 3 times).
However, missing a Skill Check removes all bonuses and makes you Oblivious for 15 seconds.
  3. Maternal Call
“She always kept me safe, but I’ve lost her now.”
Once per trial, when you are hooked for the first time, all survivors see the Killer’s aura for 6/7/8 seconds and gain a 3% Haste bonus for 5 seconds. After being unhooked, you can activate this perk once per trial by pressing the Active Ability Button:
    • For 12 seconds, you leave no scratch marks, no pools of blood, and your breathing is completely silent.
    • If you are downed while this perk is active, you recover 25% faster and gain the ability to self-recover from the Dying State once per trial.

Why Max Ivy Would Be a Great Addition to Dead by Daylight: Max’s perks emphasize precision, resilience, and stealth, rewarding players who can handle skill checks and strategic movement under pressure. His overpowered perk, Relentless Pursuit, creates a high-risk, high-reward dynamic, encouraging bold plays. His tragic backstory and elegant appearance would make him a unique survivor, offering a character with both emotional depth and a fresh, skill-based playstyle.
