White Ward does not work after surrender

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE:

If you disconnect via the "surrender" feature added as a survivor, you are supposed to lose your item and its addons. The White Ward offering is supposed to prevent the loss of your item and addons upon dying, but when you "surrender", you lose both the item and the offering

Equiped White Ward and an item

played a match

reached a situation where you can surrender

loset the offering and the item + its addons

    I'm confused why we loose the item. We in all intents and purposes will die so we should keep it even if we leave. Why force us to stay in the game to keep it?

    The reason why you lose the item is because you don't die with the item. When you surrender you don't die and the match does not end right away. You will be replaced with a bot then the killer can decide if he wants to abandon the match or play it to the end against the bots. So even by the description you did not die you left the match.
