How I would implement end game chat on Console
Console players would use the slider to select the chat box.
Like Club Penguin Safe Chat, there would be four pre-selected options to allow players to express themselves.
Console players can select between 4 options mapped to their controller buttons. The options would be visible on screen.
Button 1: Good game!
Button 2: Thank you for playing with me!
Button 3: This was not the game for me.
Button 4: Please be kind.
Button 5: I agree.
Button 6: I disagree.

I’m not against having those options as fast way to express yourself, but we should be able to write the same stuff as pc people even when it takes more time.

Honestly I would love to have these, when I use a controller even on PC. But you know what the chat will be like:
Dwight: This was not the game for me.
The Spirit: Good game!
The Spirit: Thank you for playing with me!
Dwight: I disagree.
Dwight: I disagree.
Kate: Please be kind.
Dwight: I disagree.
Dwight: I disagree.

Press a button to open the chat box and type your message. I'm seeing someone say use the cursor to press on the chat box which would be too much hassle with the short amount of time people usually spend in EGC. Pre-selected chat buttons are a good idea but only if you can also type a custom message. Like how Rocket Leauge has done it. Otherwise there's no point in even implementing it imo.
but my preselected chat options would be stuff like
GG, Nice Loops!, Well Played!, Good Chase! etc.

Mine would be like:
(for survivor):
Great teamwork! I had fun.
(for killer):
Thank you for the memes!
Sorry, I have no idea what I'm doing.
Sorry I wasn't great, I'm on console.
Switch-specific: Sorry I sucked and was about as threatening as a lamppost, I'm on Switch.
Man, I'd use that last one every single time I touched killer on Switch. Why'd I whiff every attempt at a hit? Now they know.
