Demogorgon and his life guard whistle
Hi. Me, along with a LOT of other players, demogorgon mains or not have absolutely hated the absolute gutting of the life guard whistle. It was a unique, fun and power-altering add-on which was not even THAT popular. With it, your portals could be turned into sort of tripwires to gain info on survivor where-abouts. Now that is completely gone and replaced by the absolutely laughable effect of +2 portals, for which we already have Mew's guts (which is also yellow and while only giving 1 portal, it has a secondary effect). Im assuming the add-on was absolutely killed because of the devour-gorgon build, but, in its defence, there IS counterplay to it. Simply having 2 survivors on gens far away and another 2 attacking the totem is already enough to make most players overwhelmed and either give up the gens and lose or lose the totem. Im here on behalf of everyone to humbly ask for the return of it's original effect. We all really miss this add-on, and with the recent release of one of the most fun killers, Kaneki, demo's pick rate will only decline more, so facing a demogorgon, let alone one with the whistle add-on will be so rare it should not be a problem. It was mainly used to guard totems so survivors will never get them cleansed. It needed a change but they could have done something more original than giving it effect that another offering already does but better.

Honestly bring it back. What he chases one person off the totem while another survivor cleanses it or the rest are just pumping gens? Hardly op.
Demo feels dated honestly. The effect of his portals should be massively larger than just directly on top of them, make it like 8 meters out. Especially given how easy they are to remove.
STBFL getting gutted when it was one of his best perks also feels so bad.

lifeguard whistle encouraged gameplay where the killer never interacted with anyone. just shooed survivors off totems until someone make a big enough mistake (or gave up) which let devour get stacked. since it got removed, Thrill has been buffed, making this playstyle even less punishing than it already was.
do something interesting with the addon, sure. just not what it was previously.

The Devourgorgon build was problematic and the addon needed to be changed. They also buffed his portals basekit in the same patch so it would've gotten even stronger. It was beatable by SWFs with good coordination, but in solo queue it was just too much.
I do wish Demogorgon had some more variety in addons though, and I do agree the replacement effect they gave it was fairly boring, however its old effect shouldn't return.
