Unable to claim 4500 Iridescent Shards

I play on Ps5 and am a newish player. I saw that I can receive 4500 Iridescent Shards. I went through all the processes of linking accounts but when I attempt to claim it tells me that I must log into the game through my PSN account. I have tried this on both my phone and Ps5 while being on the game and ended up with the same result. Is there a communication error with PSN network or am I doing something wrong. Yes, I do have PSPlus. I will attach a picture.
