Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Do not nerf ghoul

Just the title. Don't nerf him. If you release a killer and nerf him I hope everyone demands refunds. Don't make killers just to nerf them, that is false advertising. I don't even think he needs nerfed, just adapt your play style to stealth. It's not that hard.

Sorry when top Killers like TruTalent (Who is against most Killer Nerfs) says Ghoul needs a nerf it REALLY needs a nerf.

He just came out. Nerfing him now is 100% false advertisement. Players bought a product and then it gets made of less value?!?!?! That is nonsense, and if it happens I hope judges tear those ELUA's to shreds.

yall dont understand what false advertisement means and its getting kinda tiring.

false advertisement is not when a video game character is nerfed. if that counted a character would never be changed after release, ever, and you don't want that. false advertisement would be if they advertised kaneki as they have and you bought him and go to check your account and oops! you actually bought a 2d picture of ken kaneki and hes not usable in game at all.

i get that you're mad that many are calling for a killer you clearly like to get nerfed. but argue why those nerfs are unnecessary, rather than arguing that bhvr would be breaking the law if they made changes to their video game.

I don't think you understand what false advertisement is. They never advertised Ghoul as being a killer that will never be changed in any way, shape, or form. They never said he would never get any weaker/stronger. All killers get (and need) some tweaks at one point or another.

Also… "adapt your playstyle to stealth" ??? The fun from the game comes from the chase/chasing. Nobody wants back the 30-40 minute games where everyone hides. They literally added a function for the killer to abandon a game if a gen isn't completed within 10 minutes.

Minor tweaks are fine, but when you purchase a product and it is changed SUBSTANTIALLY within a short period of time you were 100% misled.

I don't think they are gonna fully rework the power, just nerf things lol

you want everyone to adapt their playstyle to stealth after crying for distortion to be nerfed because of survivors stealthing too hard and then implementing an actual mechanic to end games and reveal locations when survivors are stealthing too much?

i’m going to guess you’re new here.

also stealthing is not fun. who wants to sit on gens and avoid the killer the entire game? that is literally why you killer mains have cried for distortion to be gutted and now you’re switching up saying you WANT people to stealth instead of nerfing a killer that is currently too oppressive and requires very little skill to master? ok buddy.

DisDistortion works fine against him, his terror radius is half the map

This might be the most surprising thing I've read this week

Adapt to stealth? Well, if the counter to a killer is not interacting with them, then yeah, something is wrong lol

You can argue you felt misled, but you cannot argue you were legally misled. You were not promised that Kaneki will remain at the level of power that he is at.

Besides, do you want to go back and sue BHVR for them bugfixing houndmaster btw? They made her more functional, sounds like a mislead in your eyes.

I don't want to sue them. I want them to stop releasing broken killers that needed more time in the oven, or cash grab op killers only to nerf them after everyone bas bought them. If they have some responsibility the game will be a lot healthier.

Then say that instead of pretending you know what false advertising is.

I'm not pretending. Yes, if a product is materially different after service than it was advertised, it can be considered false advertising because the product no longer matches the description or representation made in the ad. Simple Google search. SM 100% here.

Ignoring your ignorant dismissal of EULAs… here is BHVR's advertised description of The Ghoul: https://deadbydaylight.com/news/tokyo-ghoul-new-dbd-killer/

"Superhuman abilities can certainly come in handy – especially when it comes time to pursue your prey. Feel the tear as your gruesome Kagunes spring from your back-flesh to propel you forward, teeth gnashing in anticipation.

Not only is it an effective mobility tool, but a well-positioned strike can net you an effective grab attack. Successfully drawing blood will drive you into a fearsome Rage, pushing your strength and speed to inhuman heights. Survivors will be snatched up and squealing for mercy before they even know what hit them..."

Boiled down, his power is: High mobility to grab and injure a survivor to put yourself in a rage state, thus increasing your action speed. This is the power that was advertised. But you're not buying the power. You're buying the license to use the killer. So, get that out of the way, too.

And, if you pushed your Google search even a little further, you would see that buffs and nerfs to powers in video games do NOT constitute false advertisement. In no way was The Ghoul advertised as a fully finished product that would never be changed in any way. None of the killers are, licensed or original. That's why we can still get changes to some of the oldest/original killers. That's why we were able to get a rework to Myers a few months ago. I would be able to see your point if they completely changed his power and character and lore and everything… but that's not the changes/nerfs people are calling for.

Interesting you're having this huge conniption about what people are (imo, wrongfully) saying is an S-tier killer. How do you feel about them buffing Freddy through reworks? He is arguably much stronger than he was before. His power now isn't what was advertised when he first came out. How do you feel about a complete Skull Merchant rework? That wasn't originally advertised. What about the original Legion ad, where The Legion was portrayed as a survivor running alongside David King? Does everyone who bought The Legion deserve a refund, since that's not at all what the power was?

Great news! You bought Ken Kaneki, and after the nerfs you'll still have Ken Kaneki.

Not false advertising to nerf a character. And again, trust me - you don't want that to be considered false advertising.

Freddy, yes. Legio. 100% yes. Sm also yes. There has to be some accountability, and I do not live in usa or Canada.
