The doomposting is already tiring
After the recent ptb dev notes about what we're expecting to see, there is already a bunch of people rioting in the forums about these changes.
It's tiring to say the least, especially when people are so divided over something that seems so clear cut.
Somehow people are complaining about haste/hinder stacking being removed. Yes, certain perky combos are being removed, but in return most haste/hinder perks will be receiving a flat numbers buff to compensate since they can no longer combo. Some perks might actually be worth running when they wern't beforehand and good perks might just get better. On top of that, the devs will be less hand tied in the future when designing or buffing movement speed related perks. Its all around healthier for the game, especially long term as more and more will be added on top of the already massive amounts of perks we have which is a problem within itself.
Another clear complaint was Pentimento getting nerfed. Its re-lit totems will now have a small radius based aura, and will solely reduce gen and healing speeds, and not gate/recovery speeds. It now will increase the healing/repair pentalties for every totem lit. I can't really think of very many survivors who ever enjoyed going against a hex build with pentimento. One lit totem is enough slow down for most games and that is with the other hexes on top of it which boasts their own powerful effects. It is a nightmare to go against, especially in solo que, and like a free win on top tier killers. Seeing the aura is negligible to sfw who know where the totems are, so solo que benifits. Then there's newer players. Who would want to keep playing after running into something so ridiculous without any clue as to what to do?
The game is expecting a massive influx of players and thats a good thing, but dbd isn't super known for being beginner friendly. It's almost like people want to turn new players away. Maybe that's an exaggeration, but it just feels like people don't understand what they're reading.
