Ghould is too strong for 2025 version of DBD
Basekit:
- His slide from PTB add on being basekit now grants him way more ground he can cover, which gives survivors no option other than being downed, he can cut everything off with extremely short cooldown before m1.
- The deep wound application and injure from grab is not healthy for the game, neither fun to go against. There is huntress, deathsligner, trickster… that are having skill to aim at consoles, there is no way to have hitscan ability that can injure across 30m, through walls, windows, different levels… a lot of people compare this to legion, while you can outrun legion, spin legion or stun him, with Kaneki there is nothing to not get injured no matter what, it's so simple that a lot of time you get injured even when he doesnt know you are there. That range is also extremely long, injuring across half of map.
- The duration after someone was marked is too long, there is a minute after someone mend. Leaving Kaneki in full power most of time, despite someone is slugged, despite someone is hooked, the mark still lasts.
- In enrage mode, he gets free hits from vaults every time, no need for vault perks.
- He is disgusting at proxy camping and tunneling, anavoidable, unpunishable.
Add ons:
- iri mask - completely negates any sort of stealth or tactics, while Kaneki is in mode 90 % of game. It comes in some most overpowered combos in the entire history of the game. Fun fact, not even a locker can hide your location from being shown.
- Umbrella - with already short cooldowns, this is another overkill add ons.
- Rize glasses - again, absolute free tracking without any effort.
PS: There are several issues that been rebalanced in past on other characters while being back in "balanced" state of 2025 DBD. I have no idea who made this killer, but apparently they don't care about health, fun or balance aspect of the game clearly. the fact that a lot of people played him with no slowdowns or just with adept perks and made winstreaks with that while destroying every team just shows how overtuned Kaneki in his current version is. And this is something that needs to be adressed asap. While houndsmaster gets some okish nerf this ptb there is no reason to not touch kaneki for another three months.
Needed tweaks:
- Duration of mark should be supportive, not full game lasting - 60s→30s would be way more fair yet still very good for mobility and chases.
- Slide needs to be 75 % of current value or cooldown before m1 must be longer, guaranteed hits are just not healthy.
- Applying deep wound on survivor with endurance should not work, Kaneki is by far the most effective tunneler, completely negating any antitunneling endurance perk, and making ds distance being nothing.
- All mentioned add ons need to be reworked, as they are too unhealthy for the game on already extremely oppressive killer. If there is any balancing, it should be applied on future content too, not being a repetitive fault.

They should Just remove deepwounds from his kit,he doesnt need it. This would solve kagune mark and the tunneling issue.
I heavy dissagree with his slide and HEAVY dissagree with his cancel, the way to play loops with this power is bodyblocking, landing ontop or sliding in a survivor in a loop, this is only possible because of the slide and the cancel being this short. I would increase his cancel only for the first leap, this would help with the whole break pallet dash 1 time playstyle without touching his anti loop.
