Rarity Colour Changes

It's just been announced in a Discord live stream that rarity colours and names are going to be changed. The reason given was to be more in line with other games and expectations. (paraphrased)
Personally I think it's completely unnecessary and the reason given is poor. What happened to games having unique visual identities? Changing your signature colour palette after almost a decade just because it's what other games are doing is silly. Especially when the colours you pick (that blue) doesn't match with any of your other HUD/UI elements. So strange.
Thoughts?
