"Ranked" gamemode as a modifier
For a while, a lot of people have suggested a ranked mode. A permanent addition of a ranked mode is a decision that would need to be carefully considered, but if it were to be implemented as a temporary modifier, it could be used to gauge actual demand.
There doesn't need to be any gameplay changes, just an elo system that matches players of similar elo.
As an incentive to play the mode, perhaps profile icon rewards for reaching certain ranks.
The player count of the modifier would show if players really want a ranked mode, or if it is just a loud minority.
Suggestion for how this might work:
4 kills = killer win
3 kills = killer win
2 kills = draw
1 kill = survivors win
0 kills = survivors win
Elo is granted based on the number of escapes/kills only, not individual escapes.
More elo for winning with less players in your premade, more elo for beating a premade.
