Nickenzie's Mid-Chapter Patch

No One Escapes Death

Progress infuriates you and calls upon the wrath of the Entity! Whenever a generator is completed, you'll receive a 6%/8%/10% haste effect until you perform a successful offensive action. Upon the completion of the final generator, the Entity will destroy all remaining pallets in the trial.

Monstrous Hooks

Hooks found around the trial have been modified to be deadly to the touch! Whenever a survivor is unhooked (escaped or rescued), there's a 75% chance the unhooked will suffer from the Deep Wound status effect for 50/40/30 seconds. Hooks cause extra damage; deep wounds from Monstrous Shrine will take 50% longer than normal to mend.

Play With You Food

Playing games with your obsession gives you delight. Your obsession can hear your terror radius 8 meters further than normal. Every time you down the obsession, receive a token up to a maximum of 1/2/3 tokens. However, you'll lose all of your tokens if the obsession is hooked. Each token will award a 3% movement speed increase and a 5% pallet break speed increase.

Empathy

You have love for you allies and will watch over them. Whenever there's a injured survivor, you and the injured survivor's aura will be revealed to each other. This effect can apply up to 1/2/3 survivors at anytime.

Wake Up

Grants potential in one's aura reading ability. You'll see the auras of the exit gates during the duration of the trial. Whenever the final generator is completed, all survivors auras will be revealed to each other for 60/90/120 seconds. Your increased knowledge is shared to every survivor; every survivor in the trial is granted a 4%/8%/12% speed increase for opening the exit gates.

Up The Ante

Lady luck has always been by your side. As long you are alive, every survivor is granted a 6%/8%/10% increase in all luck actions. Whenever you search a chest, you'll get the option to pick 1 of the 3 items offered to you.

Your versions of Noed, Empathy, and Wake Up and Up The Ante are too powerful.

PWYF would be too weak. Downing the obsession several times takes too much time.

Monstrous Shrine needs a rework and your change could be interesting.

NOED change would be fine as long as DS gets changed to slow the killer by 10% for 1 minute. So the killers don’t get free kills and survivors don’t get free escapes

I like the changes. Picking the item for Up The Ante is a little finicky though. It's a good perk as is already.

The thing to keep in mind is that certain killers and builds would end up getting pulverized by such an idea. All 110% or 4.4 m/s killers would suddenly become the same exact speed of a regular survivor (100% or 4 m/s) while other killers with specific addons such as scratched mirror, vanity mirror or judith's tombstone on Myers would actually cause him to be slower than survivor for up to a full minute meaning that change would just be totally unhealthy for the game for an entire minute. A 10% movement speed boost would be no different than getting 2 stacks of the current PWYF, infact you'd lose it faster than that perk as opposed to losing 1 token per hit you'd just totally lose it by hitting a survivor. As for the pallet breaking part of that perk, survivors would still have jungle gyms at their disposal meaning it would not be a free kill especially considering that most pallets should be broken by the end of the match anyways.

I'll have to disagree with Up The Ante being a good perk because luck only affects unhook escape attempts and bear traps. Increasing the overall luck % by 1 and giving you an option to pick 1 of 3 randomly generated items makes the perk feel more alive. You actually feel lucky since you could get an item you need easier than before.

My mistake, mixing it up with Ace in the Hole. Yeah Up the Ante is pretty trash right now.

NOED - would have to see it in game
Monstrous Hooks - I would give it Broken status effect tbh. Make it 100%.
    PWYF - Seems weak
    Empathy - Basically better Aftercare
Wake Up - This doesn't even need this rework. I just want the "standing in the exit gates reveals your aura to other survivors" and maybe increase the % to 20
Up The Ante - Interesting to say the least.

How about the luck would affects also the windows? Like there is a chance that the slow vault will be a fast vault.

Giving everyone increased exit gate opening is too much.

I don't mind buffing the speed even higher that it is now for one person but not multiple people.

I really like your version of Empathy and Wake up.

Both (and I think you're highly aware of it) are safe ways to help close the Solo vs SWF gap. The wake up, (I think people will overestimate this part, after all only results in a ≈ 2.4 second faster exit gate. Compared to what other perks are out there, don't let anyone talk you into that that suggestion is problematic or "op"!

When it comes to Monstrous hook/shrine, this perk is a staple in certain basement builds.
I remember someone a while back suggesting that instead of what it does now, it should give the killer a stackable buff for every time they hooked someone in the basement.
And I really like that idea. It has a strong persona and would see itself often in Monto video's.
