Seriously though. If wins are individual then buff Distortion and Wake Up again. Introduce more selfish survivor perks. Every man for himself? Either it's a team game or it's not. BHVR need to make their mind up.

Notice out of the deadilest killers is basically except for like 2 killers that noone play, someone noone bascially encountered, like twins, Dredge, Onyro, People dont even know how to play against them so its kind of funky to have them here on the list. they got like 1% pick rate and ive seen 1 freddy since rework 0 dredge and 1 onyro. And 0 litch..1 dredge.
I want to see a full list of all characters. This is very missleading becuase if people played ony as much as they play whesker the killrate would pummel
Part of me showing us this except for the usual suspect in limited fashion is so the whiners can say. look, you dont have it so bad against 2-3 man SWF3 -
Skull Merchant got gutted for having a 68% kill rate. Therefor it is only fair that all of those others get equally gutted because they are clearly just as broken and unfun. Right?
RIGHT!?!?!?

I can't count the number of times I've seen the same abomination of math argument to justify the game continuing to be balanced unfairly in killers favor, but thank you for debunking it once again. I should really just save it as a copy/paste at this point…

I think it's strange that Blight and Nurse haven't seen any adjustments in a long time despite being top killrate killers at the highest MMR, now confirmed by BHVR themselves. I get that they're afraid if they nerf them then they will be too hard to use for new players but is that the end of the world? Some characters have a high skill floor and should be balanced moreso around the more experienced players.
Just tone them down some is all, I don't even think Nurse deserves a full rework or anything. Just remove the mangled addon or change it to hemorrhage, massively nerf the lunge addon, make her aura reading blind while charging/using her power. Maybe even deafened too so she relies entirely on prediction and line of sight. Similarly, nerf Blights most powerful addons some more, add a little cooldown like Kaneki has after he breaks a pallet where he can't immediately rush after the survivor. They just need some small nerfs here and there to put them in line with the rest of the cast.

We have to remember that Nightlight is data from matches uploaded from individual players themselves, and not a global representation. That alone opens it up to players picking what info to post or not. But it goes behind that flaw.
The mindset of such players must be taken into account, as it is only used by the sweatier crowd. It also is only in English, and no consolers would be using it either. Tiny sample size indeed.
All of this is why its stats don't always match up with the dev's info, just shows incomplete trends mainly. The best example has always been Self Care.
Whenever they post perk usage it always is top ten overall, but Nightlight does not reflect that. Despite being regarded as a weak perk in the NA and Europe regions it's a staple of the Asian region for example, whose playstyle is drastically different, plus its free to obtain and new player friendly. You need a global reach to see what's really happening overall and in the average trial.
Nightlight might be all we got, but it is flawed.

As I said in my post: "In the past when stats have come out with a few notable exceptions the numbers where usually pretty close"
Things like self-care and the Doctor's low kill rate had explanations. There were a few outliers, but most of the killers were in a reasonable margin that Nightlight gave a pretty good picture of what was happening in the game.
Nightlight might be all we got, but it is flawed.I've been a big defender of using Nightlight stats based off the past history. These numbers though are very, very different. We're looking at differences of 10 to 15% in the reported numbers, even more radically in the case of Twins.

There was a big math throw down back in August where for a bit I thought things had finally been cleared up, but it seems to be a mistake that will just keep living on.

yes along with my mains, Lisa and Rose, I have to say I barely see any Haddies. Usually good teammates tho so I always feel glad when I see her in lobby :)

Honestly higher MMR tierlist mostly matches with my expectation of killer power, even though low pickrate is severely inflating the number

I always love it how we get stats but bhvr fails to explain how theyre factored. Every time. Pretty good job so far I guess.

You have clearly no idea what competitive means
2 -
If its a competitive game it should be balanced so each side has an equal chance to win. Funny argument from the side that currently enjoys winning more.

Until something is done about survivors giving up or ‘going next’ kill rates are still basically meaningless.
Edit to add that these stats also don’t account for wether players were running meta or meme builds, or if people were doing some tome challenge or playing normally.

"It's a competitive game"
"I want to be guaranteed a win when I queue up"

what’s the point of queing up k owing your gonna lose almost all of your games. Thats what survivor would feel like with a 75% kill rate

These stats literally mean nothing to us because we can't see our MMR. I love stupid useless facts!
-1 -
"solo queue players in the wider MMR bracket proved to be particularly hardy, falling above the overall escape rate."
i find that so hard to believe...

And that is exactly why stats aren't everything.

This is actually a truth, as long as survivors can effortlessly inflate kill rates by much higher efficiency than killers, it will be higher than actual game balance
-4 -
I mean yeah, all those killers except Freddy should get gutted, but let's not act like her nerfs came cause of her kill rates.

It already feels like that to me and yet game is matching me vs streamers who play this game for a living 24/7.
I honestly feel like punching bag most of the time when I play survivor nowadays. Only time it feels alright is when I come back after a long break but after a day or two I get thrown back into a meat grinder again.
Some of us should be paid for making streamers look better than they are.

I wish we had more details on the MMR numbers. Like what exactly is 1800 MMR and above? Is it the top 1%? The top 5%? The top 20%? The top 50%?

They answered this on reddit (which despite this being the official forum, reddit seems to get more attention, but there are a lot more people there) - it's the top 10%.

this made me laugh so hard hahahaha
