The Auto-Bloodweb is Way Too Slow

Someone's definitely already made a post here about this but I'm making one myself anyways.

I accidentally ended up writing a whole essay so TLDR: auto-bloodweb is slow, spending points is a chore, clicking a ton hurts my wrist, therefore BHVR pls make auto-web faster

Spending bloodpoints is a necessary, important aspect of DBD- but the process of doing so is slow, annoying, and hostile to player enjoyment.

I am constantly hitting the 2mil bloodpoint ceiling and having to take a long, boring, inconvenient, annoying break from the gameplay loop just to spend my bloodpoints if I want to keep earning more. Increasing the bloodpoint ceiling (like they're testing currently) would help make these breaks less frequent, but that would just be a band-aid fix that ignores the root of the issue. (still good to have tho)

The bloodweb is way too slow. Each time you complete a level of the bloodweb, there's a long unskippable animation telling you what level you're on as if you don't already know that cuz of the label at the top. The layout of the bloodweb itself has another animation that has to completely finish before you can click anything. The auto-bloodweb consumes nodes so slowly that it barely feels like an improvement from the speed of you just randomly clicking nodes on your own instead.

Using the auto-bloodweb is mind-numblingly boring and takes forever. You have to click to start the auto-spending on every single level. You have to sit there and watch as the auto-spender goes at an infuriatingly moderate pace from node to node. And after it's finally done with the level you have to sit through the level-number animation AND the bloodweb layout animation before you can FINALLY keep spending points. You can't skip either animation. You can't speed up the auto-spending. You can't let the boring auto-spend run in the background because u need to click each time to start a new level. If you're like me and spend prefer to spend bp in large bursts instead of between each round, this takes AGES.

I tested it right now to be sure:
On level 45 of the bloodweb it takes nearly 6 full seconds from when you click the auto-spending button to when you can press it again on the next level.
Exclusively using the auto-spending feature, a single prestige (prestige2: lvl1 to prestige3: lvl1) takes 5 minutes and 7 seconds. (Disclaimer: I have awful wifi so each level takes 1.2 seconds to load between level completion and the next level's number animation. But even it loaded instantly it would still take over 4 minutes.)
A single prestige takes roughly 1mil bp, so if you wanted to spend your entire 2 million bp it would take you 10 whole minutes. And that's with auto-spending. If you manually went through the bloodweb for an entire prestige it would be even longer. How the hell did we live without the auto-web for so long!?

On another note, I have chronic wrist pain and the bloodweb consistently gives me flare-ups because of how much clicking there is even using the auto-spend. Recently, I tried to use an autoclicker to I give my wrist a break and let the auto-bloodweb run without me, but I couldn't even do that since apparently starting the auto-spend requires you to hold down m1 for juuust long enough that it's not normally noticeable, but if you're using an autoclicker, you would need to configure it to hold down m1 longer for each click. (I made sure I have the auto-web set to press, not hold.) The individual nodes in the bloodweb are like this too, so I can't even put on an autoclicker and just move my mouse around to avoid clicking. This is not a game where autoclickers give an advantage! Let me use my harmless strategy for avoiding wrist pain, BHVR! >:(

The slow and tedious process of spending bloodpoints has been an issue since… I'm pretty sure since the game's release. The prestige system overhaul definitely exacerbated it since it's now harder to get rarer items/add-ons and we're encouraged to prestige more. The auto-spending feature was a great step towards fixing this issue, but it's not nearly enough.

So what should BHVR do?

First let's go over what they SHOULDN'T do:
Even though the true issue lies with the way that the bloodweb works as a whole (it's boring and stuff)— I don't think we should get rid of the bloodweb itself or change it dramatically; I love the concept of the bloodweb as a way for players to spend their points and the bloodweb is such an essential part of DBD's identity. Neither do I think we should rehaul the prestige system again; Players are used to it now, personally I like it, and just like changing the bp cap it wouldn't actually fix the issue.

What I think WOULD help is to:
- Make the auto-spend much faster. Perhaps even allow us to increase or decrease it's speed to our liking.
- Speed up the manual blood web too. After I click a node, the animation where it consumes that node takes too long to finish and I'm already clicking the next one. Stop making me wait for no reason. Just make the animation quicker or let us proceed regardless of the animation's progress.
- Make the bloodweb nodes and the auto-spend button actually be click-buttons and not hold-buttons (or whatever the proper terms are)
- Allow players to skip and/or turn off the level-number and web-layout transition animations.
- Increase or remove the bloodpoint cap. I think the 5 mil cap they're testing right now is a good number, but as the community has said for ages: why the hell do we have a cap in the first place?? Let us hoard our bp-- It's not hurting anyone. In fact, forcing a cap hurts your player satisfaction due to how frustrating it is.
- Give players more control over how the auto-spend operates. Let us select whether it only completes one level, 50 levels, or just spends until we run out of bp. Unrelated to the main topic of this post, I'd also like to be able to set whether it prioritizes cheaper or rarer nodes and maybe even be able to blacklist/discourage it from going for certain things. (I don't want any more stupid maps or keys! Stop wasting my bp!)
- And this one is less important but maybe increase the chance of mystery boxes appearing as a node. Do they even appear outside of events anymore? If not, bring them back. They add a little extra spice and fun to using the bloodweb that is sorely missing.

That's about all I can think of right now. The main thing is to just make the damn auto-web faster. If you're going to make me do something boring, stop making it waste so much of my time. Your game shouldn't make players frequently do something so time-consuming and annoying for such small benefit. It causes no gratification, no entertainment, and keeping it this mind-numbingly frustrating has no gameplay value. PLEASE fix this major QOL issue BHVR. PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEE

P.S. Let us spend bp on killers while we wait for a survivor match and vice versa. I would like to spend my bp on what/who I want without having to leave my swf lobby to do so.

I agree - I know we are getting bulk blood point spending feature soon, but yeah currently it’s still way too slow and boring. It should be fun and efficient to get those points spent.

I would love to spend 500k at a time if I wanted with a filter for preferred addons, offerings etc.

I think I remember that they're working on this as part of a future update. I'm sorry that I didn't read your whole post (it's late and I have limited mental bandwidth for now), but I think there are plans to improve bp spending :D

Correct - they have an overhaul of the bloodpoint spending system in the works. I'll probably just instantly purchase the page without going through the whole animation or something.

It would be great if a system were added to have preferential targeting of specific items in a bloodweb page during automatic spending. Like maybe have the ability to 'favorite' a list of 5 or 10 items in order of preference, then if a particular item exists in a bloodweb page, preferentially target items in the favorites list in the order of preference.

The simplest form of that would just identify whichever item in a bloodweb page is highest in the favorites list, then target that item to the exclusion of others until it's obtained or taken by the entity. Then just go down the list until the page is empty. And if no favorited items exist, just spend as normal.

BUMP! Completely agree! I honestly wouldn't even mind an optional system for mass bloodpoints spending where you can just click a toggle to how many levels you want to progress and it tell you how many bp it will cost. Something like the fortnite battlepass where you can claim as many pages as you can afford. Most of the time I don't even care what I get. But yes, a "Preferred selection" list would be nice.

My BP are always capped because spending them is more painful than earning them.
