Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

player names in lobby/at the end

First: I know things like stream sniping aren’t reportable and we have an anonymous mode but here’s the thing…

In a lobby, survivors can see the name of the character and the name of the player. The killer player can see the names too. Only after you die you can the the killers name but why?

It happens a few times within the last couple of weeks that I had a TTV as a survivor mate and because the killer can see the streamers name he knows exactly where I was while the TTV observed me after he died. Stream sniping I know, not reportable.

Other thing is if one player of a SWF die they can also tell the team things about the killer if there’s a stream.

There’s the anonymus mode but let’s be real, someone who streams want to get new followers and of course they use the streamer name and won’t activate anonymus mode.

Why isn’t it a thing that no one can see the other players names or just the four survivors and at the end result screen where you can see the perks from the killer all player names will show up to everyone? Things like that described above won’t happen anymore, streamers still can get followers, stream sniping as a whole won’t be reported wrong anymore and everyone can still send friend requests and if someone still uses anonymus mode their name just won’t show up at the result screen.

what’s the intention to do it like how it is now? Why not just showing the killers name in lobby then?

no hate to one side or someone specific and even if I know that isn’t a thing that happens all the time I just don’t understand the decision about hiding killers name/not hiding survivors name.
