Hello! My name is Cetren and I am an avid Felix main. I wanted to make some suggestions regarding his teachable perk visionary, as it's in a bit of a rough spot right now! As it stands, visionary is not very useful. It has a limited range, and disables every time a generator is completed. While that shouldn't be troublesome for any player with some experience under their belt, players with experience under their belt are not looking to run perks like visionary. This means that the perks limitations hurt new players the most, the very players that this perk would be more useful on. On top of this, it is completely outclassed by other perks which have either come out more recently or received justifiably favorable reworks, such as rookie spirit (which has infiinite range and helps prioritize gens that already have progress) or deja vu (an incredibly useful perk for ensuring a decent gen spread and providing a permanent repair speed boost on the gens you want to be finishing first).

My suggestions are simple.

  1. Remove the perks disabling when a generator is completed. At the end of the day, this is completely unnecessary and doesn't really have any reason to stay on the perk.
  2. My second suggestion is more interesting - make Visionary grant the ability to rummage a chest for a map similar to other perks such as scavenger and residual manifest.
  3. A third (optional) suggestion would be to add some secondary effect boosting the effect of maps since this might make the gen aura reveal a little redundant if you have a map whenever you need one. I could see something like survivors running visionary have any gens revealed by maps also revealed to their teammates, similar to the crystal bead addon. Or grant the ability to place a marker while charging a map to the perk Visionary, and free up the glass bead addon which has long been underutilized and in some games is not even recognized by newer players, but that might become more well known and utilized when a part of a perk like Visionary. There's a lot of creative ways you could go with some slight tweaks!

I think that this would be a great change for a couple reasons. To start off, maps suffer exactly the same problem that Visionary does. They're a great tool for newer places who struggle to find things, but their limitations (in the case of maps, it's their relative rarity) prevents them from being useful to the specific people it's supposed to be the best for. Additionally, there is no perk in the game that grants the ability to scavenge for maps, while perks exist for almost every other item (pharmacy helps for finding medkits, residual manifest for flashlights, and scavenger for toolboxes). There is already a niche waiting to be filled to grant a reliable way to gain and utilize maps. If it helps, I find this is already fairly lore friendly given Felix's background as an architect. What good is an architect without some sort of blueprint for their plans?
