I'm disappointed that they are going back on haste/hindered stacking
I think it's better for the game if haste/hindered cannot stack because it means that perks individually can be a lot better and easier to balance. I think they should have stuck with their guns and actually tried to see if the game would be better in this state rather than doubling back. I understand that it's an unpopular change but they had the right idea.
There's no harm in just reverting it if it doesn't play out well for a month or two. Going back completely seems like a drastic move. While it is nice that BHVR is listening to the community, I feel like this change would have seriously been better for the game.

what do you think is making them not change the perks haste/hinder stacking isn’t the problem

I agree. I would match rather seen the dbd meta fall into more evenly balanced loadouts rather than being so focused on stacking perks that all synergize towards one specific goal. People talked about how it would hurt build variety, but I respectfully disagree. I feel like build variety between facing a 4 gen stall build one game and a 4 haste/hindered perks the next is not the same balance wise or fun wise as build variety with 2 gen stall and 2 haste/hindered in both games, but the perks are actually different between games. Beyond that, stacking haste/hinder effects are disproportionately good on certain killers with basekit haste (like singularity), high base mobility (like blight), or that require LOS (like huntress), while disproportionately harmful to other killers who don't have any of these things (like hag). If someone equips hope and made for this, they were literally gain distance on you running around an obstacle in the endgame if you're playing a 110 killer, at that point you really can't do anything because they picked two perks before the match even started. Haste is really good on blight because it makes it extremely difficult to outplay his power, he can get fast enough to get around an obstacle that even if you react as soon as you're able to you're just dead. There's a reason one of the most popular addon combos for him is just double speed.
I hope that they find a way to balance in sometime in the future rather than just scrapping the idea entirely, like providing diminishing returns.

I'd agree that I'd rather see it not stacking. Mobility and speed changes can make or break game balance. A lot of loops are balanced around certaim expectations of how much they can be used (which is why infinites get nerfed). Fast survivors and fsst killers csn completely bypass this balance in many cases. Blight and nurse are an easy example of how Mobility can break the balance. Same with survivors - especially when they sre running fast vs no mobility m1 killers.

Probably they doesn't have enough workload to actually fix all the haste/hindered perks, I think

In the future it might be time for such a change, but not yet. Removing haste and hindered stacking should only be done, when they‘ve looked at all of the haste/hindered addons/perks. In the last patch behavior forgot 90% of the perks/addons that needed adjustments and they would have made more perks/addons useless than better. At the moment there is no need for removing stacking. They can try it again in some time, but there need to be changes to justify it and they need to be a lot.
Aside from that, Bloodpact and power of two are not an argument against stacking, because those perks rely on stacking to be worth running. If they are a problem, blood pact should get reworked and power of two buffed. I can‘t think of another example that could be problematic.

…Those perks are arguments against stacking because they need to be stacked to be worth anything.

Nope they aren‘t a argument against stacking. If behavior would want to make them worth running on their own, they would have had their chance, but they rather decided to make them useless without it. Even without stacking one of these perks would need a rework, because they are nearly identical and we don‘t need two times the exact same perk.

well the point we all understand from this show isssss it will take them a decade to balance it just like it takes em a decade to make simple changes and what not. So for those playing enjoy whatever this is and for those watching for the sightlines I guess we will just um watch and wait to be proven wrong on thinking it will take a decade for them to do anything meaningful. GG

Is this going to be in the new update? I've been away for a bit and I didn't realize they were going to allow stacking of haste/hindered again?

Sigh ofc. So back to facing 200ms clowns and singularity meh.

Sad :( They need to make VPNing (which is why most of the killers have high ping) a bannable offense.
-1 -
Oh sorry I met ms as in movement speed on these 2 killers, its so boring as hell.
-2 -
how on earth would bhvr know if someone is using a VPN. the amount of false positives this can bring if its put in an automated banning system would be insane…

tbh for singularity it isnt as bad but for clown yeah i agree.
im saying its fine for singularity as he has no basekit way to make the survivor slower.
