Why did I get disconnected?

I know that sometimes it happens and the servers "suck" as some people say but like… I dont have this issue often and when I was playing killer (and winning) all of a sudden I can't hook someone, I'm just holding them at the hook but its not frozen, my cooldowns on doc are coming back, and BOOM disconnected for 14 minutes….

Is this normal? Because getting punished for playing the game kinda sucks. Do hackers do this because I was doing really well?

I never post here I'm just waiting out my timer so I can go back to doing what I originally was trying to do, my rift….

    cant say for your specific case but yeah, there have been instances reported where hackers crash the Game for others in the match. But it could also be a Server issue or connection loss somewhere in between, so cant say for sure.

    Did you just get a 14 min timeout directly or have you been disconnected more often and the time got higher eaxh time?
