Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Let us choose between the rarity colors for stuff

It's no secret that the changes of green to blue and yellow to green has been confusing and contentious for many, me included. Lot of us prefer the older, more unique style as opposed to the more standard color theming. I think, since I doubt we'll revert it, we should be allowed to choose these colors for our items.

At the very least, being able to choose one or the other between new and old would be nice, but it also opens the door for making customization that fits the player if you make it so you can choose each things color individually. I think it'd be a neat change that would let EVERYONE win and be able to choose the palate that best suits them.

Also fun fact, this new color change makes green perks blue, so some of the icons on here that are green are outdated now LMAO

I disagree, this would inadvertently make discussion about the game more cumbersome. If everyone has a different color scheme, even basic references to UI elements could become confusing. A lack of a shared visual reference can lead to awkward clarifications. For example, "I'm bringing a green medkit" suddenly needs to be clarified whether it's a new green medkit, or old green medkit. Of course you could just say "rare medkit" but that's not how they have been referred to historically. Regardless of whether the team chooses the new or old colors, I believe a consistent UI for all players is important for clear communication about the game itself. My concern isn't the specific colors, but the need for a common visual ground.
