I HATE the new colors
Please revert it, it looks weird and will confuse a lot of survivors when they watch older videos.
Or at least add a toggle in the settings.
Also, Kaneki get little to now BP despite the patc

Agreed. At the very least, I think they need a toggle. Do a legacy colors and a new one or something. It's throwing me off so bad to see what I'm used to being yellow items/addons be green.

Like other “cosmetic” changes (like the UI), I think everyone will get used to it pretty quickly and we’ll all forget what the “old way” used to look like in a few months. What’s more frustrating to me is that BHVR spends time/effort on things that nobody was asking for and had no reason to be changed, but continues to ignore fixing/updating things that people have been asking them to do for months/years.

What new colors?

I truly hope that they either revert this or add a toggle option. This change was completely unnecessary and unwanted.

Yes.
I really don´t like the blue items and perks. Looks really strangely dark and to similar to the green for me.
I miss yellow :-(
… and the Next and Previous buttons :-((

I'd maybe tolerate it (not really) if they brought unique colours but the fact they messed with green makes this objectively terrible
7 -
I agree, it was completely unnecessary.
I had to look twice or even thrice at the bloodweb before getting the nodes, so that I didn't accidentally miss party streamers.
No idea why BHVR changed this to begin with, since the rarity colors has been the same since version 1.0
I do however like the differentiating of the top-tier skin rarities, depending on how much it changes.
But the new "name" (huge void) "rarity" on perk/skin descriptions really rubs me the wrong way.
It looked so much better before.5 -
Feel like I opened a wild berry skittles bag with the color changes lol.
We used to just have regular skittles.4 -
Ahh… I don't know what's the issue, tbf… The skin icons looks cool as heck, perk and addon icons are whatever…
I think we can live through it and get used to it, right? RIGHT?!
-4 -
Wrong!
We will keep shouting until they hear us 😉
I feel like DBD lost a lot of its identity in this patch.9 -
literally why though? they could have just done nothing and it would have been fine? its not just colours its also lexicon, people have been saying 'green addon' for years and now all the green addons are different. why confuse everything?

I don't see the problem with making perk filters that can revert it to the old version, or to the new ones, no one should have to deal with these types of changes by force as it can cause a lot of confusion.

Seems to me like a problem of similar nature of the one caused by the new customization tab (which for some reason they never changed again, even after the complaints in the forums). The devs said they would allow players to mix and match cosmetic pieces in the store. They did it, but then they suddenly changed the lobby character customization tab, which had no problems whatsoever, to look like the one in the store. Before, we had a simple tab that displayed all your equipped cosmetic pieces at once, and was easily accessible right above the loadouts tab. Suddenly it got replaced with customization tab we have today, which is worse in EVERY way:
Now we need to navigate a bit more to access it, going into the character-selection section and then clicking the customization tab that became part of it, instead of being able to access it in a single click like before. Then, instead of seeing all of our cosmetics at once, we have to keep changing between separate tabs to see each cosmetic piece… except for the charms, because they don't even have a tab of their own, clicking their icon opens a tiny window with your three charms, then your owned charms appear occupying a way smaller part of the screen then before, which makes the search bar a must… but the charm window also COVERS the search bar, so you can't even see what you are typing.
EDIT: I have just realized the customization tab got a small update today and the charms are actually all displaced in a much larger space on the screen you can scroll through now. This is better than before, but the customization tab in general is still much worse than its older version. The charm slots STILL cover the search bar, BTW. Before this new tab, ALL the cosmetic pieces, including the charms, were displayed on the screen at once with no need to one thing to overlap with another.
This new customization tab is dogwater, but somehow, it stayed. Now they are changing the rarity colors, which is another sudden confusing change too, but also one with a much bigger impact than the customization tab. It affects the choice of loadout and pathway in the bloodweb. Let's see if they are going to keep this one too or not.
Also, the new rarity colors is probably an atempt to make them just like other online games, like Fortnite. Perhaps it's easier for someone who comes from one of this games, but as someone who usually doesn't play them, I always found the green<blue<purple from battle royale games way more confusing than DbD's yellow<green<purple. DbD's colors never caused me any confusion from day one, because it was easy to understand that stronger colors meant higher rarity. It starts on a lifeless, grayish brown, then it becomes light yellow, then intensifies in a darker green, then it becomes purple, then the pinkish red represents the maximum rarity.
But on the few times I played PUBG and Fortnite with friends, their rarity colors got me confused. Like, how am I supposed to know blue is rarer than green? Sure, it's following the order on the color wheel, but not everyone can picture the color wheel precisely from memory. PUBG at least has a blueish green for low-rarity, but fortnite's green is more vibrant than its blue rarity, which confused the hell out of me when I played. Why is a lower-rarity color more vibrant than the one right above it, while all the others after them get more and more vibrant?

This game is quickly approaching it's 10th anniversary, changing it's well established visual identity isn't going to help anything.
Regardless of the reasoning behind the change this only serves to confuse new players and frustrate veterans, items and add-ons have commonly been referred to by color instead of name, no this isn't a horrendous change that will ruin the game experience, but forcing new players and your existing community to go through this adjustment period for a color scheme that most seem to dislike doesn't seem worth it.
It's very odd to me how these UI decisions are handled, since the first major UI rework with the gens on the top of the screen the large majority of UI changes to the game have received negative feedback on the PTB and most are still pushed to live. The only exception that comes to mind is the generator repair/action indicators on the survivor hud, which was a fantastic change.
Like clockwork it seems every few months we roll the dice on a new UI change and then everyone begrudgingly deals with it after it's pushed to live despite negative feedback.

ive had multiple colorblind friends tell me the Rare and Very Rare colors look identical to them.
so we've made a change that actively worsens clarity. revert it.

Don't leave the work to the UI designers.
It's not a new game, so ask users on Reddit and Twitter for their opinions.
-1 -
They always state that they value the opinions of their players, so it's only natural for players to comment on something they don't like. I hope they listen to the players again and revert this change
2 -
I really want them to revert it.
My writing was poor.
The UI change to the daily login bonus was also a change for the worse, and UI designers these days are just doing terrible work.
