new quest system update is rendering certain cosmetics unusable?

when i try to view certain cosmetics after the update, my game crashes and I need to relaunch it. In particular i've noticed the following: my frank stone mask, nic cage rift jacket, and default soma cruz completely refuse to render in the character select menu. I can't even get nurse to load in without crashing, so i can't play as her.
