SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: unable to launch past title

PLATFORM:steam deck

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: load game and immediately greeted with unable to connect to steam servers because I'm offline, even though I'm not and have restarted etc. Occured when I tried participating on the ptb as well. Seems like this is specific to this update only as the game ran fine when I reverted the beta. Game works if I use a different proton but then the games screen is heavily squeezed inwards and I'm unable to fix the resolution/the game won't allow me to move the cursor past the middle and is blurry.
