Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Overuse of sounds on UI/UX elements

Sound design in this game is usually pretty good. I can tell a lot of effort and thought is put into even the littlest of things during gameplay. I've always enjoyed this part of the game. In the actual trials, that is… Outside of the actual gameplay its usually horrendous and far overused. It is night and day. Inside a trial feels great, opening the shop and claiming a free gift feels like I'm blowing my headphones speakers out.

Here's a few examples that REALLY bother me and make me either want a separate audio slider or to just mute the game entirely when I'm not in-game:

Leveling up the pass while you don't have premium is fine. Having the premium pass and having a few levels will cause crows to assault my ears when I open it to claim rewards.

Getting an event/limited item in the bloodweb gives a really loud tinge sound effect, which is FAR louder if its no-longer supposed to be generating in it (old bloodwebs). Not to mention this is also repeated a final time when the bloodweb closes (same with Iri addons). I already heard it, I don't need to hear it again.

The bloodweb is also just generally fairly loud. If I have a bunch of bp to sink into a character I'll just mute the game while I turn on a video so I don't have to hear it constantly. I've just… never had to do this with any other game.

Getting new things from the new Quests system gives you a dozen or more sound effects stacked onto each other in the main menu. Being "awarded" multiple items through codes or such also does this, and just keeps going until its ran out of items for both. Some kind of delay or "Hey, you've just got this stuff!" sounds would be great, instead of playing it per-instance of these elements.

Unlocking an item from the store gives an unusually loud sound effect. The same goes for buying Auric cells/free gifts/rewards.

All these sounds and notifications also have pretty long noise SFXs. A simple, more gentle, short and sweat sound would not just fit the game better but would be more enjoyable for the end user.

Every UI element has to have SOME kind of noise attached to it. Little, subtle noises to give the end user feedback that they've done something or something is going on is fine. But very loud or grating tinges on everything drives me actually insane. There's been Rift passes where I don't buy the Rift because I didn't want to hear the crows 30 times whenever I went to go look at rewards.

Not every single thing needs to be in my face (and ears) when the game is trying to tell me something. And if it is going to do this, at least let me control this. I get not having audio sliders for everything but at least let me turn down UI sound elements. It is by far my biggest gripe with the game. During the normal game sounds are usually fine. Sounds in the actual trials sound great and everything has its only little uniqueness to it. But inside any menu it feels like I'm playing an indie mobile game that hasn't yet figured out sound design. The sounds themselves are cool (in concept) but I reaalllyyyy don't need to hear someone slam pans beside my head when I buy auric cells.

I don't mean to be overly harsh on this but it is very, VERY annoying.
