Why are rift fragments tied to daily quests

Yes the rift fragment reward for dailies is low and we don't know if the coming weekly quests ramp up the reward for each new week. But offering dailies to reward rift fragments feels like BHVR is telling us "play our game every day or you may miss out on things like unlocking that full rift pass you paid for.

I use to log in on a Monday to get daily ritual 1, then log off. Tuesday get 2nd daily, Wednesday 3rd. Thursday play 1 game to finish off 1 daily to load up Thursdays for a total of 3 and then play 2 to 4 games Friday. Take a break on sat and play another 2 to 3 games Sunday. In the old rift I could still get to lv 85 to get all the meaningful rewards.

But now without knowing for sure if the coming weekly quests ramp up the rewards BHVR is dangling FOMO in our face. You know the kind of thing they said they wanted to steer away from but kept doing it with things like 'you can only buy halloween cosmetics during halloween' etc.

So going to work, doing my 8 hours, maybe get some OT, go home, cook food, and other little choirs/tasks, then finally relax before going to bed in 30 mins to do it all again the next day, then get a push notification from BHVR "Hey buddeh!, you got Dailies to do, come play!"

    The Riftpass shouldn't be a part of dailys or weeklys at all.

    More: Riftpasses you already bought should not expire.
