Lobby should count as part of the Match
(I know I'm getting roasted and downvoated like hell)
Entering a Lobby should already be part of the upcoming Match - so dodging it should also grant the privilige of a DC Penalty.
Just a thought considering the upcoming dodge fest as soon as you can see your teammates perks.

I wouldn't treat lobby dodging the same as a DC (that seems too harsh). I'd rather see a BP incentive to Ready Up earlier or something. At worse, I'd suggest a 30s "cooldown" (which never escalates) if you dodge a lobby.
Oh, the doorbell rang and you need to answer it? Fine, you won't even notice the penalty. It's only for people doing it for the wrong reasons…

No, there's legitimate reasons for leaving the lobby. No one should be penalised in any way when no one is being affected by someone leaving a lobby pre-game.

Yes, they should - like in almost every other pvp game!
And yes, the remaining players are affected by the backfill program which priorizes long waiting players over mmr accurate ones.

Heck no. At high mmr if I see 4 claudettes with flashlights and bushteck I'm outa there.

Dodging lobbies leads to backfilling issues and wreaks matchmaking

Just saying that not all who leave lobby are dodging anything. I myself for example sometimes get kicked out of the lobby randomly because of some communication error between servers, internet etc. quite often happens when I play with my friend. Then there is the times that EAC decides to not like to keep contact to their servers and you get booted out of the lobby because of it. There is other reasons why sometimes people leave and to penalize them of that would just give the game more bad reputation and might even turn some people off the game if they get penalty of things they had no power over to.

Ive had times where i enter a lobby, start a round, one of them starts sandbagging everyone or intentionally throwing the game, and then after its all done and we obviously lose, i que again and see the same person in the group. It wouldnt be right to be penalised because i don't want to play with that player and all 3 people leaving that lobby would get disconnect penalties (after warning them). If the lobby dodging blows out of control im sure they wille think of something simpler like a bp incentive for staying that stops if u dodge a lobby

What? No, this is an absolutely terrible idea.
So many valid reasons people might leave a lobby, I do it all the time from phone calls, Amazon deliveries to I just don't like the look of my team mates (they look like a toxic SWF) or I have played with them before and know they are hopeless etc.
Penalising people for leaving a match that has not even started is absolutely crazy.
