Dude, I played the game when it was released. I've read all of the stories. The worst game of all time status comes mostly from legend and people who have never played the game. It had a terrible development cycle and was released at a bad time. It was unnecessarily difficult to figure out. It was sub part for its time, but it also came out when everyone was getting sick of Atari due to the amount of garbage games getting pumped out. But it is far from the worst game of all time.

I didn't say it was the worst game, I said it's officially the worst game. Im sure there's some real stinkers out there not on the record, ha. It was a commercial and critical failure, and many believe it contributed to the video game industry crash of 1983. That's an impressive accomplishment. Not sure why you're arguing this - a very strange hill to die on.
That being said, Tanks will always have a special place in my heart!

Yeah that's bad, especially if you haven't figured out the controls, but Top Gun on the NES prolly has it beat.
