Garden of joy „survivor sided“ what a …. joke
Just had a match on garden of joy and NOT ONE of these stupid jungle gyms had A SINGLE WINDOW.
You can‘t seriously call this balance devs!!!!
There is no way you get anything done on this map. You are treating your survivor players so bad. There was no chance to win on this map. Why do I even need to play when I will lose from the beginning due to insanely unfair map design?!?!? I should just be able to leave when I have 0 chance at winning!!!! What am I supposed to do with almost no pallets and no ######### windows!!!!!
Jungle gyms should have windows!!!
Same in the borgo realm. There the jungle gyms also have no ######### windows!!!!
I don‘t even need to talk about the coldwind jungle gyms, which are just bad, but at the very least they have windows.
The new double window, double pallet tile on the new desert map is also insanely bad. The windows are unplayable and if you play them the killer just runs half a meter around the wall and hits you regardless on how well you play. There you only drop the pallets and leave.
I really hope you fix those tiles, because there is no way anyone has fun in those matches or delete those maps if you are unwilling to balance them fairly.

The main is extremely survivor sided, there is no denying that.
The upstairs window is an almost free escape agains any killer that has normal vault speed/isn't Hag or Nurse, the dining room window is a great chase extender too, plus the pallet at the porch is a great one.
The rest… eh. It's your average map. The no window thing might be a bug.

The main is strong but the rest of the map except of car park and shack is a huge deadzone. It doesn‘t matter that main is strong when the rest of the map has nothing to offer. The killer can simply ignore the one gen there and have an very easy match.
The window thing already happens since the rework. They‘ve removed the windows from most jungle gyms and introduced holes there. Sometimes you get more of these jungle gyms, sometimes less, but these jungle gyms shouldn‘t exist at all.

It depends a lot on the RNG, but overall it's a very survivor side map if the survivors know what they're doing. And the double pallets on Dead Sands are perfectly balanced and depends on the skill of both sides.Or did you want all the tiles to be extremely braindead like The game?

You can‘t seriously call what I just described survivor sided and the double pallet/window is a very bad tile. The dead sands map is already very killer sided and there should be at least something that is a little bit better.

You have basically have always three very strong loops spread around the map, then at least 2 jungle gyms with safe pallet (sometimes window), 1 LT loop, two safe palelts in middle.
Then usually 3-4 smaller loops randomly around the map.
Against most killers you can always reach either shack, main or car loop, where you have 1 safe pallet and good window. Killers can't really drop every chase there…
Only thing I see bad about that map are gates, it can create some really close gates where killer can see them without moving.0 -
That might just have been a bug. Garden of Joy is generally considered a very survivor sided map.

What you just described is not very much. It‘s also not hard and peanut take long to force survivors to drop pallets in these places and afterwards they don‘t really have anything meaningful to use. There was also no TL loop.
Normally I don’t get to play against weak killers that allow me to walk across the whole map to reach main. They usually have something to make it impossible to get very far, which is even worse on this map because there aren‘t many loops.

Erye is super survivor sided, so I don't see any problems with Dead Sands being a bit killer sided, and I still think the map is pretty safe in some corners.

They still say that eyrie, is survivor sided and from the time the rework and shrunk it I beg to differ. I sometimes just give up and just let people think what the want to say about maps.
I see survivor's brining killer sided trashwitch, killers brining surivor sided the game, maybe maps aren't x sided yet they are idk anymore. Overall agreed with you.

It's way more than what you get on majority of maps…
Garden of Joy has definetly one of best main buildings and it can't be made weaker by breaking door, just that makes it good.-1 -
The distance for double pallet eyrie tiles is pretty balanced actually. Unless its that weird cemetery one with no los and less distance, thats a stupid one. There definitely should be more windows though, seeing as this is an infinite resource that isn't always strong and pallets are not infinite

Only because one map is good the other doesn‘t have to be super bad. They also nerfed the Erye a lot last time and it nowhere near as good as it was. It is pretty balanced now.

This map isn't "Survivor sided" anymore, anyone who thinks so is coping hard. The main building has a god pallet and a good window but outside of that everything else is really mid. Unsafe pallets everywhere, jungle gyms that have really trash layouts & trash window vaults. The car park is a decent tile though but that's really it.

Probably the right approach but I sometimes get annoyed and can‘t stand it anymore.

I practically saw no difference, there are still several loops without any mindgame and all connected with other strong loops. The layout continues to be the same.

The thing is no matter how I play this tile I get hit. If I use the windows → get hit while vaulting. If I drop one pallet and loop the second one it doesn’t take long until I have to drop the second one. After the pallets are gone this tile is worthless. Even when I manage to not get hit while vaulting the killer just walks around the loop and hits me because I gain no distance for playing the window or pallet right. This tile could exist without the windows and it wouldn‘t matter.

The main window is no longer placed in an good position. They loops and jungle gyms got all less safe and less tall.

One structure doesn‘t define the whole map. Main is strong - yes, but you can simply ignore it, break a few pallets and easy win.

I've seen several streamers looping them, it's a matter of mindgame and skill on both sides, as all loops should be. God pallets should not exist in this game, since it does not require any skill or thought.

Streamers play this game almost 24/7. No loop should be designed in a way that you have to sacrifice your life to stand a chance at a tile. I don‘t agree that god pallets shouldn‘t be part of the game. Having a few on a map is fine. Generally pallets should be designed in way of being playable by survivors and not be a 70/30 in the killers favor.

I totally disagree, the loops should be made so that the killers can play on them. For one simple reason, this game is made so that the killer needs to down a survivor as quickly as possible. Every second the killer spends in the chase can be devastating, so if you have a lot of loops where he has no chance of doing anything because it is extremely safe, the game is over. If you don't think this is fair, complain to the devs who made a game where the killer has to worry about downing survivors super fast if they don't want to be at a disadvantage.

You are not even reading what I‘ve said.
I‘ve not said they shouldn’t be outplayable for killers.

From at least 3 gens you can easily reach main.
Then 1-2 gens you can get there against most killers at least after you get injured.
It's not really that hard to force killer to deal with it. Killer can't simply drop every chase that gets to main, if survivors simply decide to always take chase into main...
They could do that when 3-gen was still strong thing, but it's simply not anymore.0 -
GoJ is very survivor sided if you play the map right. Main is downright miserable for most of the killers in the game.
