2v8 Queue Problem
Can we please solve this conundrum already? Isn't this the 4th time this mode's come to the game? Facing this problem is getting exhausting already. Just add 4 bots to every match and the problem's solved.
It's taking me 20~25 minutes to find a match. C'mon… just hotfix this.

The problem is the same as always, and will not be solved by bots. Once again, BHVR added more stuff on the killer side (Oni and Ghost Face), but survivors basically got nothing… (yes, there are smoke bombs, but getting them depends on RNG, and they don't even add much to the gameplay, imo)
They should start focusing WAY more on improving the survivor side, adding more stuff to it, making the survivor role FUN and enticing, and slow down with the content on the killer side. I think the last 2 iterations have both added 2 new killers, but survivors got nothing exciting…. Green/Yellow herbs weren't anything fun, plus killers could use them too.
Survivors needs much more new content in 2v8, and the addition of killers should be slowed down. That and, Legion should probably be removed, it kills a lot of the fun when playing as survivor in 2v8.

Honestly, I think you're right, to a certain extent. However, what more could they add? Weapons to "hurt killers"? Survivors essentially got all they need. Repair buffs, speed buffs, healing buffs, etc. The problem I see is… most survivors prefer to make gens from the borders of the maps, leaving trigens, tetragens on the center. This makes it easier for the killers to win the match. Also… Idk if it's just me, but killers seems to be faster in this mode, so, basically… there is no looping anything here. It's straight "press and hold w".
Anyway… imo, creativity has a limit. What they should do is balance map sizes. For this mode, they need to be bigger. Some are. Some aren't. Tormented Creek is the same as ever. RPD is the old RPD, before it got splitted in 2 maps. Anyway…

Bots drive away real survivor players, which means the net gain in queue times is only marginal.
The real solution is to make survivor an appealing role in 2v8. The easiest way to do that would be to add more classes. They can have a Plunderer class that focuses on chests, a Witch class that allows you to interact with totems, etc. Right now the class options are very limited. There's not much reason to play survivor when all the new gameplay is happening on the killer side.

Hell no, noone wants to play with bots.
I am looking for the feature where I can play survivors while waiting for killer game. I think that is going to help a lot.2 -
Survivors kinda need buffs in this. I'm a killer main, but every match people are downing to deep wound, and not even knowing basic loops. This is more of a fun one, I'm ok with giving survivors a bit more

BHVR did a poll/survey. It said something along the lines of, "Hey, we're working on a way to make 2v8 queue times better, but it won't be ready until summer. Would you like to have 2v8 return in May, anyway?" And people voted yes, they wanted 2v8 to return sooner rather than later.
The players chose it. Knowingly.
The "fix" for 2v8 queue times is scheduled for later in the summer. Killers will supposedly be able to queue up and play survivor while they wait, preserving their place in the killer queue line.

My solutions:
Make playing survivor reward you with XP, which gets you Shards faster.
Give survivors new classes and things to do (the Herbs were a nice change when they weren't taken away by bots, and the Crystals would be good if not for the RNG element.
Make it so killers can just queue up as the ROLE, not the specific killer, with specific killers selected as their favorites.

It was only a small minority of players who even participated in that survey which is the dumb thing. The vast majority didn't even care enough to fill it in which says alot about the interest yet they did it anyway.
Personally i don't want this event to EVER AGAIN be active during a rift so i can actually play the game and not garbage dbd lite.
