Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

I can’t stand The Ghoul. Genuinely.

The biggest BS I've seen with him is when he uses his power on a survivor on the opposite side of a window/vault. He gets his power off & vaults the window all in 1, while the survivor is frozen from the stun effect initially. Leaves the survivor with no way to do anything & just instantly go down, lol.

I do agree he's strong. But I do think he's just going to he frustrating on both sides. For the situation you where in this scene was Vault the shack Window or dropped the Pallet you went passed to rather have him break it so he can't leap or make him take longer to get to you. Just Keep practicing and I'm sure you'll still hate him but at least can go against him

But if I had to be honest I would love a Rework for The Ghoul at some point by Behavior because nerfing him will do nothing for him but make him Miserable to play as.

Exactly, and Legion spends more time to do it, beside having a few ways to counter: stay away from other survivors to avoid chain-hits, make sure you are far away as possible after they start the frenzy or hit another survivor, sprint burst away, get a well-timed stun, hug a loop to make them waste their final seconds of frenzy, or even make the Legion miss via either 360 or sprint-bursting away in the last second. Plus, if the Legion misses, they lose their power and stun themselves.

None of that can be done against the Ghoul's injure ability. He can just calmy hover his mouse over the survivor, see when the red open mouth icon appears and automatically injure them. Distance is covered instantly, it can't be dodged at all, there's a HUGE space he can aim at with no fear of barely missing it, it goes through certain objects, and even if somehow he aims at a point without ANYTHING to aim at, his power doesn't end like the Legion's does.

Plus, there's the fact that Legion's power is almost useless against an Injured survivor, while the Ghoul still has insane mobility that allows him to cover huge distances instantly and land behind the survivor way before they can get close to a pallet. If the Legion tries a similar thing, it still takes long enough so the survivor can reach a pallet or a window either before the frenzy ends or after it is cancelled.

Funny part is Kaneki is already S tier yet not even been out 2 months. Meanwhile Blight and Nurse are played by sweats with thousands of hours experience on their specific killer once you get out of baby MMR. Blatantly pay to win killer even after the soft nerf. What's worse is he requires less skill than Trapper to get consistent 4Ks in pub matches.

Pretty sure majority on the survivor hate playing against ghoul right now. Obviously theres a select few outliers that do enjoy him, overall though he's widely disliked. His vault speed is too fast, his leap cancelling is OP, he gets free injures with little to no effort, the speed & distance per leap needs toned down for tunneling sake. Just everything about ghoul thus far is negative to me, he is one of the best tunnelers in the game, and he can deny anti-tunnel perks instantly & for free (Dead hard, Off the record).

Agreed. The Ghoul currently sits in a spot where the effort-to-reward ratio feels disproportionately low. His movement options are too forgiving, his pressure comes too early, and there’s minimal counterplay in solo queue especially. What’s most surprising is frequently seeing calls for buffs despite all this.

Balance discussion should always start from a place of fairness…. not just fun for the one who’s playing the killer. And in Ghoul’s case, it’s clear that a re-evaluation is overdue.

I would agree. 💯 Good points!

I see we are on our second page. I had no idea this thread was going to be as big as it turned out to be. I just wanted to post something out of my own awareness.

I can't help but agree. The issue is the free BS hit nonsense, NOT his leap and NOT his pallet shredding or mobility.

He's very cool, his ability is cool, he feels great to play as and his general conceptual design is very neat. But this is poor Killer power design. Free hits and power cancelling mid power should not happen this easily. As Dredge I can't pause mid teleport and go around to find someone with aura reading lit up. As Ghostface if I swing my knife, I lose my Shroud. As Pig I can't half-ambush or headtrap someone trying to vault a pallet forcing them to pause. As Doctor, my shock doesn't create such a long pause it's basically free hinder. Kaneki does all this, it's not OK.

I only play The Ghoul against bots I would never do it to human players. I hate going against this killer as survivor.
