A possible solution to dying too quickly in 2v8.
I don't think being tunnelled is a problem in 2v8 the same way it is in regular. I don't really consider it a problem there either. It's possible in the game mechanics, so it's legal.
2v8 however, isn't the most serious mode, and it does become frustrating when you're dying and 7 other people aren't even on death hook.
I suggest adding the survivor's glowing heart in a similar proximity as it appears for the survivor, but instead for killer to see. It could perhaps be white for 0 hooks, yellow for 1 hook, and red for 2 hooks.
It could be whatever colour you like.
And in 2v8, I don't really think it would be doing any damage to immersion. It'd just be a heads up to the killer that there's other prey that needs a whack.
I did first think an emblem on the ground for the killer to see, as there is already an emblem on the ground that attaches to survivors, with a little arrow pointing in the direction of the least hooked person. But that does seem a pain to programme.

The thing is, they know that person is on death hook. And now that they see a red heart they are more likely to tunnel that target off. If anything people on deathhook shouldnt be revealed as much as everyone else like how people without hooks are shown when generators go off. Killers see a person theyve been targetting once a gen gets kicked or their ally spots them, they fly over to chase them above all others. Happens every 2v8

You think it's wishful thinking on my part?
Unless someone body blocks me right off the hook, I don't like killing someone too quickly. If they do body block me off the hook, then they're fair game and I'll pop them right back on the hook.
Another potential solution might be haste.
If a person is hooked, then they could get a haste bonus for each terror radius they are in.
Maybe make it 2.5% after the first hook, and 5% after the second hook.
As the survivors as a group all proceed to one hook, then remove the bonus from first hook, and reduce the second hook haste bonus to the 2.5%.
Give them the blood-lust haste bonus too.
It may be fun, confounding killers at 110% speed.
And/or remove the aura reading as you suggested, until the hook stages balance out among all survivors.

Maybe just a basekit distortion once u hit deathook u get like 2 charges to not be revealed atleast.
