Unable to claim the iridescent shards for linking account

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: I tried linking my account to my Xbox account because I saw you can get 4500 shards for doing so and I never got them after checking all the boxes for the communication preferences.

PLATFORM: Xbox

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: I was sent to the bhvr webpage after scanning the QR code and seeing the 4500 iridescent shard offer. I made my account and linked it to my twitch and Xbox account. Afterwards I went to the communications preferences page and saw that it said the reward had been redeemed and was available in game (pictured below) I saw that other people had to the option to claim it and I found it odd I never did even though I just made an account today. I had assumed it was waiting to be claimed in the messages tab in the inbox but I never received anything. I went back to where I scanned to QR code and the shards were no longer pictured, I restarted my game and console multiple times and never received anything. Any help or explanation would be much appreciated, thank you for taking the time to read this post.
