Singularity Biopod Placement Inconsistent

When using Singularity's Biopods while moving, sometimes the pods won't deploy despite the reticle showing they will.
My platform is Xbox Series X
To reproduce, move through the environment and place biopods on the fly. It's much easier to trigger in a chase environment. Consider a mock chase.
Here's an example in a somewhat controlled environment (I had accepted defeat. Many chases fell apart from this bug and I wasn't about to recover in any universe.)
