Sacrificial Ward is Broken.
Today, I played a total of 39 games as Killer (one game per Killer), and in all 39 games, at least one Survivor used the Offering: Sacrificial Ward. I’m not sure how the system calculates things, but based on my observations, when someone uses Sacrificial Ward and no other players bring an Offering related to maps or realms, the map that gets selected is almost always an indoor map about 70% of the time. Examples include Léry's Memorial Institute, Gideon Meat Plant, Hawkins National Laboratory, Midwich Elementary School, and RPD (through the RPD Badge).
What surprises me the most is how often RPD Badge gets selected. On many occasions when I played as Killer and brought a realm-related Offering and the Survivors did too the Survivors' realm usually gets picked, and the map ends up being what they wanted.
I honestly think Sacrificial Ward is ruining the game. I'm not imagining it—I encounter RPD Badge and Gideon Meat Plant far too often, simply because one of the Survivors brought a Sacrificial Ward. I don’t think it should work like this.

I think you might've just been getting unlucky tbh. It tends to be the RNG of what realm gets picked, I've had instances of going to the same map a few times with no offerings boosting the chances of it getting picked.
And with the survivors using the offerings, I think each offering is a 25% chance of the realm getting picked? And let's say hypothetically, four survivors brought four of the same map offerings and the killer brought a different one, I think it's more of a 50/50.
(I think the killer offering is a 100% chance as it's just one killer, and one survivor offering is like 25% chance? So if all four pitched in for the same offering, it'd also be a 100% chance.)
The main issue, is that Sacrificial Ward doesn't fully stop the realm from getting selected. So let's say, four survivors put down an R.P.D offering, and you place a Sacrificial Ward, it'll only decrease the R.P.D's chance of selection to 4% I believe? So it still has a chance.

RPD seems to appear more often ever since the Realm Selection changes.
It may just be an odd coincidence. Or a bug, idk.

i'm so sick of survivors sending me to map i run sac ward almost every game now i would love to run blood ooints for me an survivors but feel like i'm locked into running sac ward.
