Easy Anti-Cheat Validation Error Followed by Disconnection and Infinite Loading Screen

Platform: PC – Epic games

Description:
I consistently receive an Easy Anti-Cheat error saying the client cannot be validated, and that I'm kicked from the server. After this, I start getting repeated “Disconnected from Host” errors. Even when I do manage to play one or two games, the issue escalates into an infinite loading screen after matchmaking, forcing me to restart the game entirely. This cycle keeps repeating.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Launch Dead by Daylight
  2. Start matchmaking (as survivor)
  3. Search for a game.
  4. Receive Easy Anti-Cheat validation error and get kicked
  5. Try matchmaking again that day or the next.
  6. Get “Disconnected from Host” messages every time you try to search games even after managing to find one and get into the lobby.
  7. After a few attempts, game finds a match but gets stuck in infinite loading screen

Error Messages:

  • “Easy Anti-Cheat cannot be validated, kicked from the server” (error code 3)
  • “Disconnected from Host”
  • No error shown during infinite loading.

Frequency:
☑ Always

Additional Information:

Internet connection is stable and other games work fine. No other game gives error for Easy Anti Cheat. The original Easy Anti Cheat in my program files can be opened but under the game files it can't be.

  • No known cheats or unauthorized software running
  • Easy Anti-Cheat is up-to-date and reinstalled
  • Verified game files via Epic (if on PC)

I don't know what logs are needed so if you could let me know which ones I'd need to send I will.
