Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

"Go Next" prevention should not be active during Endgame Collapse

At this point, we can argue anyone trying to self unhook is not trying to grief or go next.

Here is a clip, to showcase what I mean by that :

Couldn't agree more with this. There are definitely certain cases where you should still be able to take the chances to unhook yourself. When only 2 survivors are left in the match you should also be able to try and unhook yourself, in order to give someone else hatch. Sadly BHVR didn't consider any of these edge cases.

I agree I also made suggestion to bring back the insta-sacrifice on hook after missing two skill checks if there is just two survivors left as it does not make sense to drag a lost match on when the other survivor could be hurt too and saving is not really an anyway good idea.

Even as a killer main survivors should be able to self unhook attempt:

→ They are on hook for 60s within first phase (if teammates simply can't or don't rescue, why shouldnt take a single chance)

    → If EGC is active

→ If 2 survivors are alive

I would change "when EGC is active" to "when all gens are done." Because Survivors still like to 99 gates and try to rescue a hooked teammate. I'd rather let go on hook and let the others escape than have them risk getting themselves killed trying to get me if the Killer is camping.

And IIRC, a hooked Survivor can try to unhook themselves when there's only two left.
