The lanterns and the glow effect
![Bravo0413](https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/avatarstock/nI89KL600DT91.png)
At first I was thinking that the glow/lantern effect/particle effect would be a decent seasonal reward but then I thought maybe this objective could stay as away of players earning and rewarding something in game.. just change the chinese new year them and implement another..
Thoughts?

I like using them as a rank reward better. They wouldn't waste enough time as an added objective. The plants we had during Hallowed Blight are what we should add as another objective for survivors. Make them like oil cans or tool boxes you have to go through to work on gens.

I'd love to be able to obtain it as a cosmetic.

I think they can implement this as a rank reward and as a cosmetic to buy.
Rank reward should be different and more glorious imo.

To give themselves less work to do and make rank rewards they just need to make the rank rewards be cosmetics they already have for sale but just with an exclusive color tint. Super easy and hardly any extra work, just a recolor for a rank reward. They could even sell the glow from the event in the store but make one color variation of it only available as a rank reward. Essentially letting them double dip on their work.

I'd really like this to stay in the game in some form as well - I love the effects. Not sure if a rank reward is the right way to go - but I'd love to see it as a Devotion reward of some sort.

The Devs likely don't want you to be able to get event points after the event, as that is part of the financial model.
What type of alternative gameplay-related reward would be linked to the re-themed lamp?

Maybe acquiring different colors of the glow the higher devotion you get.
Out of curiosity do ya'll strictly just mediate the forums or are you able to see ideas like this for example and pass it on to the team?

I can definitely pass on ideas @Blueberry hence I pay a lot of attention to the Wishlist & Fan Creations sections of the forum. (am actually moving this to the Wishlist section now as well, forgot to do it earlier!).
I really like the ideas of different types of "glow effect" depending on the level of Devotion, I'd be quite particular to some blue shades for one of the levels. At least it will feel like you got something for Devotion then as well.

but through the convo with blueberry and mandytalk the glow deff seems more of a devotion reward which I do agree... the idea of the glow changing and becoming more glorious the more you play is outstanding0 -
